Anyone know how to this in the current version, particularly with food? Tried the trade depot thing with no success - I can buy back the whole stack or nothing. Reason is I've started playing around with butchering forgotten beasts. Stacks are frequently huge, both uncooked parts and completed meals. At least once I've had the issue with Dralthas so more conventional animals at least occasionally have the same problem. I'd really like to get the stack of 223 forgotten beast meat roasts (23415 value!) into some pots to preserve it.

Also, not really a problem but how do I insert ascii characters into the post? Wanted to use 164 / 0xa4 but couldn't figure out how the board wants it formatted.

food does not need to be in pots to be preserved. Just being in a stockpile stops it from spoiling. I hear vermin might eat some foods, but if it does it is so minimal that I've never noticed any.

I usually just copy them from somewhere else, but [hold alt], 1, 6, 4, [release alt] works if you know the code.
