Quote from: Design: "Alice" class Survey Vessel
During a welcome respite from decades of war, we finally have a opportunity to peacefully explore our world.  Under the Nautical Survey Administration, we shall launch the "Alice" class of survey vessels to fully understand the waters surrounding us.

The Alice class is government survey vessel studying our waters to aid in navigation for industry and commerce.  Typical expeditions map currents and plumb depths to survey the viability of ports and tradelanes.  Of course, other civilian researchers are aboard to conduct research.  Meteorology is also a large component of the research staff, as storm forecasting is an undeniably important public service.  Wartime doppler radar readily detects storm clouds, and the Alice class features a repurposed air search radar for that purpose.

Recently, a growing department within the NSA has begun fielding directional electrical antennas, explaining that such devices can detect lighting from far off electrical storms.  Unfortunately, these antennas capture a lot of "anthropological noise," in the form of radio transmissions.  (By coincidence, these directional antennas receive within military frequency bands.)  Raw data from the directional antennas is directed to General Computation Headquarters back at shore, who filters out this noise and returns the clean data to the lightning detection researchers.  Naturally, General Computation Headquarters employs a staff of linguists to identify "anthropological noise" from "meteorological signal."  (Presumably, General Computation Headquarters discards all this radio noise, especially the foreign military stuff.)

Just a nice upstanding civilian research program there.  We need this kind of stuff for postwar reconstruction.  It's our focus on these kinds of peaceful endeavors that separates us from our militaristic Southern Neighbors.

This one isn't going to be feasible for reasons stated by MoP earlier (not wanting Caelium to invade gavrillium's domain as a power thing) but I ran some math and therefore I want to write a proposal anyway.

Quote from: Perpetual Caelium generator
This generator works on a spoked wheel design: Blocks of a Caelium-iron alloy are placed in a circle spaced by non conductive material and linked to a central shaft by steel beams.
This peculiar Caelium alloys has the property of being normally roughly as heavy as steel but upon having current pass through it, its weight is almost nullified.
The engine casing has brushes allowing electrical contact on only one side of the wheel, leading to an uneven gravity push which in turn makes the wheel spin. Due to the high mass of the design, the torque produced can be consdierable, but conversely it also has an high weight, even considering the caelium negating half of it. Its main advantage is the ability of operating continuously without resupply, till maintenance is required.

Alice is Theoretical. It's not just the sub and the equipment, but the story being sold as well. If you want this thing to be seen as anything other than a thinly veiled snoopin' sub you're going to need some hard work and a little luck.

What's that? We need a nice, straight forward use of Caelium? Let's go!

Quote from: PC-46 Private Aircraft 'Firefly' v3
This small three seater monoplane is popular amongst amateur and private flight enthusiasts. It is powered by two small three-blade propellers (one on each high-mounted wing), and supported by a small flight core of Caelium. This core is an approximately cat-sized piece of pure Caelium metal in a perforated mesh shape and immersed in a reagent* that has been found to prompt its gravity-defying properties. This means very little thrust is needed to achieve a comfortably cruising speed of 600km/h whilst producing very little noise, the fluid nature of the reagent allows the pilot to tune how much effect the Caelium core has.

It has a low flight-ceiling, but is very nimble and easy to maneuver even at very low speeds allowing pilots and their passengers to marvel at the view from merely tens of meters in the air. Access is by a sliding side door, and the plane can land or takeoff at any mostly flat surface, such as pasture or a disused road, perfect for private individuals who do not have access to an airfield. The two passenger seats can also be removed, allowing for cargo to be strapped to any of the internal anchor points.

Comes with parachutes as standard, allowing passengers and crew to safely bail out of the side door if necessary.

It might be surprising to know the Firefly But Slightly More Specific is still Easy.

Hope I'm not angering the gods of paper with all of these variants, but there we go.

Quote from: PC-46 Private Aircraft 'Firefly' v4 (made out of something called Levisteel)
This small three seater monoplane is popular amongst amateur and private flight enthusiasts. It is powered by two small three-blade propellers (one on each high-mounted wing). It looks like a mundane design at first sight, but a sharp observer will notice an odd gleam on the surface. That is because the hull is entirely made out of a Caelium alloy dubbed Levisteel, which is lighter than aluminum but as strong as steel.

The two passenger sways can also be removed, allowing for cargo to be strapped to any of internal anchor points.

Comes with parachutes as standard, allowing passengers and crew to safely bail out of the side door if necessary.

Fourerfly is Easy, but slightly closer to Normal than the others since it's the majority of the structure as opposed to a module that's being experimental material'd

I'll take a stab at a different design for levisteel, since the cessna is stuck on easy I want to see the difficulty on something a bit different.

Quote from: Mosquito Personal Helicopter
Ever thought that cars are a too plebeian locomotion method and that you shouldn't be forced to share the roads with those destitute peasants?
Well, the Mosquito is the vehicle for you! It is a tiny helicopter designed for expedient personal transport and recreation, allowing you to take all your transportation needs to the open skies and show to your peers your daring adventurous nature! Includes a second seat for your consort and parachutes for both.

But how is this possible? won't we require helipads or reinforced roofs everywhere? big, noisy engines?
NO!
The Mosquito is made almost entirely (where applicable) out of an innovative alloy of Caelium, Levisteel. This alloy is just as strong as steel, while being far lighter than even aluminium, reducing the weight of the vehicle to much less than a common car! it can land on any flat roof* or garden and the low weight allows the engine and rotor to be small, for a silent and comfortable ride, making as much noise as its namesake. Without need for much engine or fuel, the overall size is barely larger than the cabin itself, granting ease of parking.
Buy yours today!

*Depending on local building codes, the company is not liable for any damage to structures, vehicles or people incurred during roof landing

First helicopter is going to be Very Hard since it’s busting into a brand new field of aviation.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Might as well submit this for diff check
This is a design
Chez-30 Machinepistol
The Chez-30 is a discrete looking black select-fire pistol chambered in 7×28mm Valkria, a surprisingly powerful round common in North Harren. When set to automatic it fires at 600 rpm and comes with 20 and 30 round magazines.
Primarily intended for issue to guards and plainclothes officers, it will make its way into military service sooner rather than later.

Lets go for this.
The helicopter was a fun idea, but as a Very Hard project it isn't suitable for the goal we are setting here, which is Levisteel.
