Having trouble making royal rooms

The queen's bedroom has 20,000 value of artifact scepters, but it is Great rather than Royal

The queen's throne room has a 9,600 value artifact gem and is Royal

The queen's dining room has a 12,000 value artifact chain and is Grand but not Royal

do these different rooms have different value thresholds for being Royal and I just haven't reached them yet?

Beware of overlapping rooms.

This will cause the value to tank drastically - anecdotally, even sharing weeks seems to be bad.

Not sure if that's your trouble but could be something to try.

Thanks, all the rooms have double-thick walls between them so they each get the engraving value. No overlap.

I could try deconstructing every artifact in the fort and rebuilding them all in the queen's bedroom; maybe it becomes Royal at 40 or 50 thousand. Just need to experiment for now.

Displayed items seem to be ignored for certain room types. Is the chain on a pedestal or built?

Okay, building the artifact chain in the dining room made it Royal. Displaying it on a pedestal or display case did not.

Is the value of displayed items supposed to be ignored now? That doesn't sound right.

I believe it's a bug with rooms. From what I gather, they work fine in locations.
