Keyboard support plans?

Hey! Long-time player (from 0.23-ish), but never posted before.

There's various snippets of official mentions around "improving" keyboard support in the 0.50+ versions, and what seems to be a lot of rumors and speculation.
But is there some official messaging somewhere about what the intended level of keyboard support is going forward?
Specifically: is there something official about plans to ensure the entire game is playable without a mouse?

(I don't know if I'm just missing out on information, or if the new Steam release and Kitfox relationship has moved where this kind of messaging is communicated)

wait for a while.. hopefully Tarn n Kitfox pull through but it is unclear how fully controllable the final UI will be. there is the current option to turn on 'keyboard control' in the options, but it breaks when constructing and is less than ideal for other functions.
