The addition of fire
« on: December 13, 2006, 10:21:00 pm »

In the new version, it's possible to set fire to things like trees and bushes. The fire slowly spreads, and if it strikes water it'll cause lethal steam to issue forth. Also, people catch on fire and burn if they stand too long in the flames.

That being said, is it possible to modify the raw files so I can, say, use the "g" command to set fire to a human child?

It'd be awesome to wander into town and randomly set people on fire, sending them running around in circles screaming.

When torches and lanterns and whatnot are in, I can easily see this as being a possibility.

Shift+i is interact, and I can see it being much like Nethack's 'apply' function wherein you choose an object in your inventory, or a direction to use.
