How do I drink and eat?
« on: December 04, 2006, 09:26:00 pm »

First topic, first post, first question.

I just finished playing some adventure mode, I killed a menenutar(or however you spell it.) and got back to the village, I decided to sleep so daylight can come so I can talk to the mayor but I died of thirst in my sleep...

So how do I drink and eat, I tried to interact with the water in my inv but it said I could do nothing with it. :-(

Also is it the same as how to eat?

Make a printout of the command list.

All the key bindings are listed in a menu you can find by pressing '?'

Note that the '?' key doesn't necessarily work if you have a keyboard layout different from what the developer uses; you can change it to the '?' key on your keyboard through the keybindings meny (accessible from the 'esc' menu during the game; remember to press the export to txt key, IIRC it is 's', to save the keybindings after you've changed it).

I wish you could eat corpses in adventure mode.

Sure, running into a town with your crazy naked legendary wrestler, wielding nothing but two lumps of Granite you found in an abandoned fortress, then proceeding to beat to death a load of people, before going on to pick up the bodies and furiously lick them, is pretty cool, in a roleplay sense, but being able to properly eat the corpses would be good too.

I hope this post doesn't make me sound too wierd.

I think I should mention that you can drink lye without suffering any ill effects.  So smooth!

I would think that lye would normally be a bit scratchy when you swallowed.

Nonsense!  Lye is well-known for its softening properties, and is necessary for the creation of the delicate Scandinavian delicacy, lutefisk.  Drink up, now.

Its used for making grits too.

If lutefisk is the stuff I'm thinking it is, I've heard that a shipload of that stuff can be smelled onshore, two days before it comes into port! Thanks, but no thanks. I have to go with my 1/4th german side, and stick with rotten salted cabbage (saur kraut). Still reeks, but not quite THAT bad.
