I know that's a joke but I'm actually not sure... and kind of want to know.

Is it just me, but grates and floor bars dont seem to let miasma thru. I have tested on the surface and inside a cave and it will only pass when its a open space (you can still put a hatch cover over it).

I'm pretty new to DF but i'm liking it so far. I'm thinking about saving up and buying the game on Steam to Support the dev(s). Before i do, are there any major differences between the Steam version of the game and the version you download from the website besides the graphics, or is it just an aesthetic difference?

There is no functional difference. You can also buy it on itch.io, although I'm not sure if you'd get a Steam key with that.

Blue Dwarf has been happy lately. He did some !!science!! recently. He admired a fine forum post lately. He was enraged by a forum troll recently. He was upset by the delayed release of the new version of Dwarf Fortress lately. He took joy in planning a noble's death recently.

In order to download this game you must purchase it at or above the minimum price of $29.99 USD. Your purchase comes with a Steam key.

In Adventure mode can you build a tavern or somekind of business?   Or even plow and plant seeds yet?  I am not very good at being a Hero but seem pretty good at being a hunter, bard, or artists and want to know if I can expand on those.

Not yet. The old camp site building hasn't been reimplimented yet (and might be a while off) and we've never been able to run our own business per se. Best you can do is collect and sell things, like bone crafts, because i don't think you can get different prices from different locations (so can't buy and sell for profit.)

Another Adventure question, forgive me, but with the old versions once a Adventurer was released into the 'wild' they could not marry or have kids.  They might show up in a Fortress but marriage was out of the question unless somebody hacked the save file.   Will this be changed to allow them to produce offspring in the Steam version?

I expect, eventually yes, but if it's an issue with how characters are structured/saved it might be pretty deep in and hard to fix.
