Child Has Strange Mood But Does Nothing
« on: December 14, 2022, 02:11:55 pm »

I had a Dwarven child go into a fey mood. So far though, she has just stood around and done nothing. I'm unsure if this is a bug, or am I missing something here?

If a dwarf has a mood and doesn’t immediately claim a workshop, it’s because their desired workshop isn’t available.  This will be the workshop associated with their highest moodable skill (or crafting if they don’t have any moodable skills).  Children (as of 0.47.05, at least) don’t gain any moodable skills unless you they watch a demonstration of a moodable skill in a guildhall.

Kid with no skills usually goes for the crafts workshop in my experience. Do you have one of them?

If you read my post that’s basically what I said.  Also, I’m not the OP…

I had one where a guy claimed a workshop, but then blipped in and out of it, making regular work orders without making any demands, before finally going nutso.
I'd never seen that before.

Thanks for the replies. The problem was my only crafts workshop was busy, so after I added another the child claimed it. He proceeded to make a wooden figurine, and claimed it for his family.
