Since it currently looks like my three games tomorrow are going directly to the orphanage, I'd just like to quick plug them.
Endless Space 2 is a 4x turn-based strategy game. I found the game pretty fun when I got it a few years ago, and the card tactic space battles are a neat way of doing space battles.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a classic series of platform featuring the purple dragon Spyro, remastered and bundled into one game.
Wargroove is a turn-based tactics fantasy game in the vein of Advance Wars. I played this when it came out, really enjoyed the genre throwback, and have been meaning to get back into playing it one of these days.

I'd definitely recommend The Long Dark to anyone after an actual survival game, rather than the usual one where it's "We made a crafting game but added *gasp* A FOOD AND WATER BAR!"

More seriously, I've greatly enjoyed single player.
