Ever since DF released on Steam, I've been getting a constant "500 Internal Server Error" whenever I try to click somewhere else. Anyone else getting this, or is it just me?

Yep, when requesting any page on the forums I get a http 500 error like 9 out of 10 times. In fact while trying to open this page, I got a "connection reset" error once.

No clue what could be wrong, though. It's particularly weird that it doesn't happen every time.

Edit: When posting this message, I got the error, but it did go through. Very interesting.

It probably just means that the forums can't handle the huge influx of new people coming from the Steam release

That was definitely my first guess, but looking at the "users online" at the bottom of the main page doesn't show a particularly high amount of people online right now.

The good side is that if so many people are coming and the board server can't deal with that number it's probably because the game is selling very well, very happy for the devs.

Most of the guests won't be sticking around if they don't think they can access the site. It will clear up once word gets around about that. Wouldn't doubt if the servers get an upgrade too.

Don't worry, the Steam version will sell so good, that tomorrow Toady will be able to buy Twitter from Musk, remove Twitter from the world and use it's servers for bay12 forum capacity.
