Objects don't get "scattered" per se.  It's just that their location doesn't get saved.

The locations of adamantine objects are not saved, but my experience is that if you put adamantine stuff into bins with non-adamantine stuff, then the whole bin will stay.

Putting adamantine stuff in bins with an iron boot or something keeps it from being scattered.
