I'm calling it now; we're entering into a diversely chaotic period. Russia's ready to flip, China's looking a little similar, bigger tech and social changes too now that's the bells ringing on Twitter.

So what do you do when humanity's in a authentically chaotic period?

I'm not sure what my historical reference should be. Our previous mass global changes have been fundamentally orderly. Colonialism was imperial, the internet was corporate, guns took time to get around.

Where should I look if I want to understand what happens when society isn't just chaotic because someone's being stabbed, but because it's acting more like a liquid then a solid?

All periods of history are chaotic, but yes, I agree, this period has its own flavor to it, with planetary level threats and all.

"Just" Twitter. Be more imaginative with it's successors my friend. I admit, it's not obvious at first but once you click onto one of these ideas you realize just how much could be innovated you've never thought of.

The change of some small stuff can be way bigger then the large dominos.

Finally a Novelpost that makes sense (more or less).

I'm making preparations to leave Russia. This country will likely have a civil war, or at least mass unrest, in the very near future-- and I am too much of a wimp to fight (against the government of course), and the chaos will likely not be as strong somewhere quiet like South America. I just want to get a stable job and write books in peace.

I'll give it more stock when it has more stock; until it hatches from its cocoon and becomes Western wechat+pay it'll remain "just" twitter as a shitty social media platform barely anyone used that got trashed by a tasteless blob of finance. But I guess that is your point... So I may have just talked myself into agreeing with you
