Now that we're not setting people on fire as a first resort, the Spork is going to have to adapt to the new paradime by making some less-lethal weaponry. We'll start by using his power nullification knowledge and the Self Made boost to create a power nullification weapon. I don't care if it is a bullet or a beam, just make us something that can at least make them normal long enough to lock up. I'm pretty sure that still counts as his action for the turn even with Self Made, so he'll be out doing that.

As we're being hunted we will be following the buddy system for Hero safety.

PB and Tin Soldier will Patrol Montgomery
PB and Lord Bombarrel will Patrol Old Town
PB and Bakal will Patrol Silver Row

It is a peanut buddy system. We're willing to switch patrolling locations if someone does the math and points out we need to patrol a large part of the city by next turn or we lose the game, current locations are mostly chosen as likely for events (Cutting Edge's playground, House Edge's base, and the presumably safer Silver Row for the newby.)

The Chorist attends the planning session. He is additionally handed a revolver and told to murder anyone who tries to assassinate him like LAST time we had a "PLANNING" mission. I mean right between the eyes dome 'em no mercy. He also gets a muffin.

Become Merc team so that I can profit from that decision. mony
And spend that mony I don't have yet to pay the Legion to improve my base. Make sure to be there when Escher shows up so that I can point out what features I want! This is an entertainment venue after all.

"We should do this again some time." "Soon!"
Except Rep needs shoring up, so Extra and Princess will mix business and pleasure on a patrol of Dusk Beach.

Spoiler: The Watch (click to show/hide)

David found Caroline on top of one of the less-accessible pillars comprising the new base. It was a bit of a climb to get to a location roughly near it, but he managed.

"Having difficulty dealing with the new guys?"
He hadn't really needed to ask - it was written all across Caroline's face - but she nodded all the same.
"Yeah, I get it. Alli was always better at this than us, and with her over in Leadville..." He shook his head.
"BC's willing to help Doc with the arms, by the way. I made sure. He still doesn't really like her, but he's willing to be professional about it. And Sarah's willing to help try to figure out Black Box's deal." At Cara's raised eyebrow, he explained. "Psyla. She's not quite sure what her name used to be, but she thinks it was something like that. As for Brutus... well, he'll be helpful for now. Probably strike off after a bit, though."
Cara shrugged at that. The Watch had gone through plenty of members. They'd tried to be a good group for all of them, and she felt like they'd succeeded, but if this guy left, they could find somebody else. Maybe that Toytown guy.
The informal report wrapped up, Void started climbing down. "So, yeah, everybody's at least willing to do stuff. Just get them the orders." A thumbs up, and he took the rest of the drop down to the ground.

Hijank will, with Bitter Candy's assistance, make a set of prosthetics that should allow her to once again move around and make stuff, rather than, y'know, not having any limbs.
Psyla will investigate Black Box, try to figure out his deal - or at least what he's like.
Brutus will attend the siege planning session; his analytical abilities should be of assistance.
Frostara is out in Leadville, while Ziggurat is resting after having finished the new base.
Retry, Void, and Black Box will patrol Greenbelt. Retry and Void will each have a pastry.

By my count this is our current endgame score:
Quote
Atomic Heights 1
Docks 3
Downtown 6
Dusk Beach 3
Greenbelt 2
Hermitage 4 Overrun
Mireton 7
Montgomery 3 (+3 from Cutting Edge Negated)
Old Town 8
Sandup 7
Silver Row 12
Warren 7

To reiterate the requirements, we win if 6 or more Districts match both criteria:
 - Not Overrun
 - at least 5 reputation

At the moment we are at 6/12 safe.

---

Nitrox will attend the Cathedral Seige Set-Up.

Mentat and Crackler will rest and recover from their injuries.

Película will investigate what's happened to Camarada.

Zirconia will investigate what's happened to Cutting Edge.

Hey Stirk could you send Tin Soldier to the planning mission as we're at 3/4 and Tin Soldier is probably the most experienced hero we have?

I guess I could, but that meeting is clearly a trap to get strong heroes mind controlled by the Legion. Plus Dark Humor has the power to astrally project and spy and the whole thing with no effective way to stop them, so grouping up to plan is kinda...asking to reveal everything to the enemy. Planning would be worth than useless if you can't counter Melancholy and nobody sent can :V

It can be hidden if the people who want to see the plan don’t know where we’re planning it! Which I will note we don’t know where it’s being planned.
Hell, I’m unsure if there’s a dedicated location even.

Between being able to control anyone and the Crimson Plague connection I'd imagine DH has a robust intel network. At the very least they're severely underutilized their powers if they don't have one.

We know that our teams don’t have any sleeper agents on them (anymore).
This could just be the three people we sent on the mission meeting up.

You could get random hobos to watch the streets for guys dressed as Roman leaders or scuba divers. It doesn't really require deep cover agents.

MISSION REPORTS 9

Spoiler: Mission 0 (click to show/hide)

In the Docks a ship lands filled with Crimson Plague fanatics. No one was there to stop them and the Docks are now overrun.

The Doppelswap Fame bonus expires. The Stopped Antonine fame bonus expires.

OPPORTUNITY PHASE 9

The Watch gain +1 crossover: Watchtower

Protection Inc
1. After conversing with Cursed Legacy, Reflux invites Película over for a late night movie night, up on a roof, projecting a film onto the back of a billboard. She considers it, but also feels guilty because she wants to be her freshest to save Camarada.
Offer: Película gains "Friends with Reflux", Reflux gains "Friends with Película", but has trait "Tired" for the next mission.

RECRUITMENT PHASE 10

Removing Team Members

Spoiler: Letting Members Go (click to show/hide)

Hiring
Everyone who has slots may either seek to recruit one hero from the recruitment pool OR they may hold tryouts to fill all slots.

Due to the Mayor's Clemency: in addition to any other recruitment, teams may take one one villain in custody onto their team (ignoring requirements like fame and max team size). Once they are redeemed (fame higher than infamy), you may recruit again in this way. Villains recruited still count towards your team size as normal. Villains have fame 0 by default.

You can't recruit someone with a higher fame than your team's fame. If two people try to recruit the same hero from the pool, I'll flip to see who gets to them first.

Spoiler: Recruitment Pool (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Rogue Gallery (click to show/hide)

Here's a reminder of the Tryout process, from the OP.
Spoiler: Tryouts (click to show/hide)

Now Public Enemy is reformed, Cursed Legacy will take Spyte with Clemency.

Constellation Aurora and Spider Knights have become NPC teams and will patrol Silver Row and Dusk Beach respectively. (Their owners are always welcome to return and take up the reigns again.)
