MISSION PHASE 6 REPORTS#0 Personal Missions
Bloodmoon patrols Greenbelt. She scares some litterbugs from dumping trash beside a lake. PUNCH! gain +1 rep in Greenbelt.
Princess Professional investigates "Doctor Black". See Mission 6 below.
Mistress Extra experiments with powers. She works out a way to hop into dreams immediately after inflicting a nightmare vision. Standing in a trance like state, she was able to enter into one of the dancers in the nightclub below her base, under cover of a club night. The dancer had the most horrible night out and would never return to Gay Morte. No matter. Mistress Extra now knew she could invade one person's dreams even if The Chorist was indisposed.
Little Old Tin Soldier and Frostara go with an immense amount of cash to get their old bodies back. Zircon Cathedral puts a collection together for the Prelate. The Prelate himself has been enjoying himself in the clubs of Dusk Beach as a 23 year old woman (the owner of whom was from overseas and could not be found). He gives up his swap so that the old woman in his body can get to her correct body once again. The manager of the Katoche Institute is wealthy enough to fund her own move. Eventually, Tin Soldier, Frostara, the old woman, the Prelate, the manager of the Katoche Institute, and, last of all, Suffrage herself, all return to their own bodies. Over a hundred others from the mall have managed to get their own bodies back as well. Enough for Suffrage to make a fortune, but not even half the total swapped.
In the shunt around, a rat mind is left in Vile Viola's body, Doppelswap's broken mind isn't put into a body, his mental essences are left to dissipate into the aether, and Vile Viola is cruelly left in the Prelate's middle-aged male body. The rat body, empty, soon dies.
Changed:
Tin Soldier | Metal Absorption, Metal Skin, Advanced Mechanics, Immortal? | Legend, Cunning, Heroic, Authentic, Blind, Veteran, Indebted to House Edge | 10
Frostara gains access to her normal powers and body, along with trait "Good Looking". Gains trait "Indebted to The Watch". Loses trait "Sneaky". Loses trait "An actual rat". She once again counts towards the team limit.
(See Rogue's Gallery for the rest of the changes)
Sally and Saluki look for Chiffon. It wouldn't be like her to just disappear without a word. Sally overhears a conversation in a hairdresser's about a drug dealer teleporting away from the cops in Warren after scoffing down a muffin. Saluki scours the neighbourhood this was supposed to have happened in. His nose picks up the tell-tale scent of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange zest. They track the smell to a large warehouse complex in Warren. Saluki is all for barging in straight away, but Sally cautions that they should get backup: she's learned that the non-powered gangs in this area are heavily armed, with a local boss, Bill Cleaver, known for his brutality.
Saluki unlocks new mission in next phase "Rescue Chiffon"
Sally gains intel on Bill Cleaver
Doctor Hijank is delighted to receive such complete plans. She works away at the control belt using scavenged parts, at last gifting Void with a belt around his centre that would keep the power contained until he unleashed it at will.
Void gains Control Belt trait, allowing fine control of his powers so long as he wears the belt. He joins the (increasingly crowded) base, now counting towards max team size.
The Miraculous Mirror Maiden is quite sporty, and is keen to demonstrate her power prowess. In base before everyone went their separate ways, she tried to demonstrate what she could do.
"Squeak," Frostrarat said. She was wearing a hat and scarf and this would the day she resumed her human form.
"What I... uh... think she's uh... saying is, um... how does the power copying work?" Mr. Spawnman says. "Can you, uh, mirror my power, say?
"Oh, no, it doesn't work quite like that," M3 says. "The power is reactive, it only emerges when someone uses their powers against me. Try to hit me with your tongue."
Spawnman flicks out his sticky tongue at M3. She leaps back with great alacrity, her legs momentarily transforming into froglegs like Spawnman's.
Retry raises one eyebrow.
"Oh yes!" M3 says, "Even yours. I'll demonstrate." She picks up a newspaper off a side counter and rolls it up. She then bops Retry on the head. "Now reverse time and move out the way."
Retry did exactly that, coming to the moment where M3 picks up the newspaper. She deftly stepped aside, but this time M3 swooped the newspaper in low and hit her on the side.
"See!" she says. "Miraculous counters, but nothing proactive."
Crackler, Endless Highway, Longfire, Bolt Blue, and Pincushion all rest, fully healing up (as does anyone else who did nothing this phase).
Lexicon finds Joshua Tree on the roof of the base, looking out over the city. The religious hero is lost in thought.
"You're thinking about that satanist kid again," Lexicon says.
"He can't be the only one," Joshua Tree remarks. "If he got his powers from the devil, there must be others like him. Villains, I suppose."
"Witches, werewolves, ghosts, and the like, were historically taken as evil," Lexicon speculates. Joshua's eyes light up.
"That's it!" that ghost kid, that murderous werewolf... satanic the lot of them!"
Lexicon just smiles. He's happy to humour this madman, as he has one of the strongest powers in the city if he'd only use it cleverly.
Joshua Tree gains trait "Respects Lexicon", Lexicon gains trait "Respects Joshua Tree".
The Man in Grey experiments with his powers. He has Jack Dandy try punching him. As expected, he disappeared almost as soon as suggesting it. But through a bit of practice, he was able to prolong the moment of disappearance to the last moment, and reappear much quicker. It'll be riskier, but The Man in Grey thinks he might be able to disappear more... proactively.
Mentat experiments with his powers. Over long hours in the base, he tries to read Alba's mind. The unusual patterns make it hard to decipher, but he eventually gets a pretty good appreciation of when the cat wants head scritches or a little treat. Mentat also puts out a call for a willing volunteers. He sits down with Ectoboy, who wants to know if he is really speaking with ghosts or if he's mad like some people think.
Mentat sits down with the small freckled boy, who takes off his sheet in the presence of the mental master. After all, what was the point in disguising his identity to one such as Mentat? Mentat is able to go deep into his mind over the long session. While in a fight, surface thoughts and intentions can be read, over a long session, there is no limit to what memories Mentat can uncover. He tries inserting his own thought while he's there, something innocuous, 'look at the cat', but it like reading a book through a telescope, there is no changing the words.
He does discover, experiencing Ectoboy's mental processes, that the boy genuinely does seem to converse with the spirits of the dead. They say things he couldn't possibly know otherwise. Mentat believes these are mental echoes of the people, dispersed after death and lingering in the earth, in the buildings, cloying in the atmosphere. Perhaps with training, he too could sense these lingering thought-shapes.
#1 Pipes
Spawnman and Bitter Candy arrive at the water treatment plant, a sprawling complex of pipes and vats and motorised filters. The staff point to a small hole in one of the walls. Spawnman, a professional, turns a headlamp on his forehead.
"After you," Bitter Candy says.
"Uh, no, be my guest," Spawnman replies.
"Oh I insist," says BC.
Spawnman shrugs and then dives into the hole. Bitter Candy shrinks down and stroll through after. They're soon split up in the twisting network of pipes and crawlspaces.
Spawnman looks for clues and finds tiny footprints in the grime, scuff marks and twisted metal where new openings can be found. In a darkened section of the pipes, tucked up out of sight, he finds a bomb!
It's formed of several packets of C4, linked to a phone for remote detonation. Spawnman pulls out a red wire and marks the area for professional clearing.
Meanwhile Bitter Candy is creeping through the tunnels when he hears something shuffling ahead. He stops to listen, and as he does, he's ambushed from behind by a dozen tiny fleshmonsters.
These rough bundles of organs, flesh, sinews, eyes in the wrong place, haphazardly stitched together. Made from parts of cats, rats, birds from the looks of it, with claws and bones sticking out at odd angles. Makeshift creatures of pain and confusion.
They tear into Bitter Candy. In a panic, he makes himself tiny and is swallowed by one of the rough beasts. Not long after the pipe is filled with the light from Spawnman's headtorch. He flicks out his tongue, rapidly, multiple times, catching each of the tiny fleshmonsters and swallowing them whole.
With a long burp, Spawnman emerges from the hole, and gives the location of the defused bomb to the relevant authorities. What those things were and what their plan was, is unknown, but the day is saved.
Bitter Candy splashes out of Spawnman's digestive tract a few hours later and the pair of them agree not to speak of the matter.
OUTCOME
Mission: The Watch: Overwhelming Success. Spider Knights: Overwhelming failure
Bitter Candy: Gains -1 fame from ignominy, and gains Injury: Digestive Acid Burns. Power understanding increased: "Bitter Candy is mostly indigestible and when tiny can breathe trace amounts of oxygen in the environment."
Spawnman: +2 fame
Mission Reward: The Watch gain +1 rep in Warren.
#2 Robot Rampage
In the middle of Feynman Drive, surrounded by the science park and the city's tech center, the huge robot clunks back and forth with striking aimlessness.
It's a very boxy design, like several tanks stacked on one another, and long extendable hose-like arms which terminate in man-size clamps. Its head is stylised as a huge clockface, and it has a cannon in the center which is spraying ice around.
Most of House Edge arrive on the scene before any real destruction has taken place.
"NOW YOU WILL KNOW THE POWER OF THE WATCH!" the robot intones, monotonously.
"So, what's the plan, boss?" PB asks.
Luke looked at Spork. "You're the tech guy here."
"I'm not very impressed with the design to be frank," Spork says. "It's very bulky, they could have streamlined the frost ray into the clockface, and put the arms near those tracks at the the bottom. It doesn't have to be 50 foot at all, if I were making it, I think I could get it into the size of a pocketwatch."
"No I mean, how are we beating it?" Luke asks.
"And if the plan is to send wave after wave of me at it, I'd rather pass," J says.
Eventually they came up with an idea. PB and J would send clones out to distract it, while Spork used his grappling gun to create a tripwire, and then Luke could get up close and take out the control unit that Spork believed must be in the head somewhere.
The plan soon met with complications. Firstly, PB&J slipped and slid everywhere on the fresh ice. Then the tracks churned up the grappling lead. Then when Luke got close, the robot shot out one of its wiggling arms and tried to clamp a metal band around him. It missed, of course, Luke's luck held enough for that. Luke stepped aside and shot his own extending gadget arm at the robot, prising off the waist-sized metal band. But there was no assailing the thing.
"THE WATCH SENDS ITS REGARDS!" the robot said again, before churning the snow machine up to full blast. Everyone was buried in 10 feet of snow. Most of the robot must have been filled with water.
After pulling themselves out, the gang tried to follow the tracks, but the trail grew cold a few streets away. From CCTV footage it appeared the robot collapsed down into the shape of an articulated lorry and drove away.
"What was that about?" PB asked. He'd absorbed all the spare clones and was still none the wiser.
"The Watch, apparently!" Luke said.
"Well at least none of us got hurt," J said, shortly before his head exploded. The bullet left a noxious orange tang in the air. Marmalade.
Everyone ducked to ground but they knew she'd be long gone. PB & J were always absorbing one another's clones to keep up with one another but otherwise kept alive and separate as a joint team. Clone twins to the end. Now J was dead.
"It's time we do something about my evil twin," PB says.
OUTCOME

House Edge gain asset: Control Band: This imprisoning device can be deployed around someone to nullify their powers completely, and, optionally, clamp their arms to their side.
#3 Bank Warp
The Zircon Central Bank is one of the oldest buildings in Downtown. Its marbled halls have long been a symbol of stability and financial sense. Now it is a twisted maze of looping corridors, stairs along the walls, mislabelled doors.
Cephala and the Chorist come in one entrance. "Let's split up, I don't want to hear your singing," Cephala says, before activating the stealth suit's shimmer and disappearing off around a corridor. The Chorist shrugged and started off down some stairs.
About the same time, Lynxxx and HellTooth arrived at another entrance and walked off together in search of the vault, where surely the thief would be heading.
They walked for what seemed like an eternity, along corridors, up stairs, through endless offices. The staff and customers had all cleared out when the alarm bells rang and since then the place has only gotten twistier.
They opened a door which said, "Janitor's Closet" and ended up in the manager's office, dominated by a huge mahogany desk.
"Another dead end, sweetheart," Lynxxx said.
There was a shimmer in the corner near a tall pot plant. "This is for Pongo," Cephala whispered as she leapt out and wrapped her tentacles around Lynxxx and HellTooth!
HellTooth bites down hard on the tentacle. It explodes in a shower of poisoned calamari. So Cephala smashes Lynxxx against HellTooth, while she grows more limbs.
"He was the sweetest of us. He was the best of us. And you killed him!"
She threw Lynxxx out the door and slammed it shut with another tentacle. Her fight was with HellTooth.
HellTooth, wheezing from the bruising, scrambled off the floor and dove behind the desk. He ducked up and threw a solid glass paperweight straight at Cephala's head. It smashes into her eye and she roars in pain as she lashes out with her tentacles, sending them towards the desk. HellTooth dives out the way as she sends the desk flying, smashing through a window behind them.
HellTooth considers making an escape but stopping the villain is the most important thing. He barrels towards Cephala, fangs drawn, just as Lynxxx smashes open the door to aid him. Cephala fends them off with her tentacles, backed into a corner.
It's at this moment that the sound of sweet music echoes around them. The Chorist strides forth, singing like an angel. Cephala, HellTooth and Lynxxx all collapse on the ground unconscious.
"Let's get you out of here before you cause anymore trouble..." The Chorist said, hoisting Cephala under one shoulder and pulling her out of the room.
* * *
Meanwhile, Jack Dandy was striding manfully along the corridors of the bank, while Haste slouched behind. She kept looking around for an opportunity to break away and see if she could maybe get a chance to be alone in the vault without him, but he made sure to wait at each juncture for her to catch up.
At length, they arrived at the vault. It was a huge reinforced metal door with a rotating lock, a number lock, and several key locks. It was all in place. In the anteroom to the vault, in what might have been the basement, but had been reached through the top floor, a man in a black-and-white chequered suit and matching cape was focusing on different crenulations in the cold brick room.
"Stop now you, you... actually what is your name first?" Jack asked.
"It's Escher! And you cannot stop me Jack Dandy!" Escher said with a nasal voice made for villainy.
With a wave of his hand, the room began stretching steadily in length, from a small brick chamber in front of the vault door, to a lengthy corridor, the door twisted around so it was nearer to Escher.
Unfortunately for the would-be thief, as fast as he could stretch things, he wasn't as fast as the hyper-athletic Jack Dandy sped to beyond-human speeds by Haste's helpful presence. He hurtled like a bullet train directly at Escher, tackling him to the ground.
* * *
HellTooth and Lynxxx awake in the manager's office and make their way slowly out of the now permanently warped bank building.
"That squid cost us the mission," Lynxxx complains. HellTooth limps along, knowing he got lucky.
* * *
Cephala is patched up back at the nightclub. The smashed paperweight has caused her to lose all vision in one eye. This only heightens her desire for revenge.
"Next time, they both die," she says.
"Hmm," Chorist says, not really listening. He's more interested in the news story. The fight between the teams wasn't know. The only mention in the story and commentary about their team is a foul insinuation that he deliberately sabotaged the heroes by singing when he was nowhere near Escher...
OUTCOME
Mission: Spider Knights: Failure, PUNCH!: Failure, Dandy Lads: Overwhelming Success
Escher enters custody
Jack Dandy loses trait "Nemesis: Baron von Woof" (he's caught bigger fish now). Jack Dandy gains trait "Indefatigable"
Cephala gains trait: "One-Eyed"
Chorist gains +1 infamy
HellTooth gains injury "Even more bruising"
Lynxxx gains trait "Hates Cephala"
#4/#5 The Legion of Wickedness
Baron von Woof walks on stage at Club Purgatory. He waves his one huge arm. The lights swirl across the open dance floor, where [2+1] three hopefuls are gathered to tryout for the Legion of Wickedness.
First, there's Buzzoff, who thought he was in the team by default and was a little annoyed he actually had to try out. He's a skinny, dressed in all in black with giant round pink sunglasses, and surrounded by a dozen camera drones.
Next, Spyte has appeared. She's uncomfortable being there, but is slim on options and has a lot of scores to settle. She's revamped her costume, all dark purples and extra padding around the poison barbs protruding from her arms.
Finally, there's Gigaman, floating in the middle of the room, wearing his lurid green suit and staring dopily at the stage.
"TO JOIN THE LEGION," the Baron booms. "SHOW ME WHAT YOU'VE GOT AGAINST THE HEROES WHO WILL SOON COME TO STOP US. I WILL TAKE THE BEST TWO OF YOU!"
This is Nitrox's cue. The Baron had messaged him the order of ceremony in advance.
Nitrox strolls up the stairs, followed by Camarada and Película. "Chill, Baron!" he shouts. "We're throwing hands!"
Gigaman turns to shoot Nitrox but Camarada steps in front of him, and the floating man's head turns, scorching the wall with intense heat instead.
"Keep 'em busy while I charge!" Nitrox barks.
"Okey, entonces cuento contigo," Película mutters.
Seven more heroes in bright costumes rush into the nightclub and send blasts and beams towards the villains. Buzzoff scatters towards a corner with his drones. Gigaman blasts at these newcomers with his lasers. Spyte doesn't believe any of it and runs full pelt at the three heroes.
She's intercepted by Camarada. "Care to dance?" Camarada says. Spyte tries to take a swing at her with poison barbs but misses.
Buzzoff, cowering near the stage, sends a swarm of drones directly at Nitrox. Nitrox is doing his elaborate powering up move, focusing on the entire room, slowly getting everything prepared, mentally trying to block out everything else.
Película creates a wall in front of the drones. It's not real, of course, but their automatic obstacle detection doesn't know that. She quickly boxes them all in, this way, while continuing to create phantasms for Gigaman to shoot.
"Breathe deep!" Nitrox says, and everyone else in the room except him and the Baron fall asleep. The illusions disappear, and the drones continue to swarm out directly at him. He dances back in the air, jogging around the room while the drones follow.
"That's enough," the Baron says, rousing Buzzoff from his sleep. "Call them off."
The tinker does so. And the drones come to bay.
"Good job. Spyte is bad luck, but I like this Gigaman. Fair swap?" the Baron says.
"Sounds good to me," says Nitrox. He cuffs Spyte as she sleeps. The Baron and Buzzoff grab Gigaman and leave the club.
Camarada and Película wake up. "Did you have to get us in your blast?" Camarada says.
"It's quite unavoidable," Nitrox lied. "But we caught one of them and no one got hurt. Good outcome, I'd say."
"¿Donde estan los villanos?" Película asks groggily.
"What's for dinner? I was thinking pizza. My treat!" Nitrox grins.
They take Spyte to the police station and give an interview with some journalists. The police are uninterested as no crime has actually occurred, but it doesn't do Spyte's reputation any good.
OUTCOME
The Legion of Wickedness forms: Baron von Woof, Buzzoff, Gigaman.
Mission: Success(?)
Nitrox: +1 fame
Película: +1 fame
Camarada: +1 fame
Spyte gains +1 infamy.
The Legion of Wickedness members all gain +1 infamy.
Mission Reward: Protection Inc. (well, Nitrox) gain crossover: Legion of Wickedness
#6 House Raid
The William's household is a huge mansion in Hermitage, spreading out with a huge three-doored garage, and on the ground floor alone, a breakfast, dining, family, and living room, as well as a kitchen, den, office, and a huge foyer.
Nestled on an ornamental clocktower on the roof, a sniper keeps the police cordon at bay. There's sporadically the sound of smashed glass and gunshots from inside the house.
Monkeypaw, Spawn of Satan, Retry and Void all arrive at the scene about the same time, one of The Watch's tunnels leading out close to the border into the wealthy suburb.
"Our turf, our rules," Spawn of Satan says.
Retry, of course, doesn't say anything to that.
"I'm going to make the sniper miss," Monkeypaw says, addressing the mute hero. "That'll give you and lil Lucifer opportunity to run in."
Retry glances over at Void, who was keeping his distance.
"He can follow up behind," Spawn of Satan says. "I don't want him close to me."
"Or any load bearing walls for that matter," Monkeypaw adds. "We ready?"
"One last thing," Spawn of Satan says. "Can you ask your frog guy to change his name? Pleeeeaaase? I was the first Spawn. He should pick his own name."
"OK let's go!" Monkeypaw shouts, focusing on the Sniper.
Retry and SoS run through the gate into the grounds of the mansion, and sprint towards a nearby patio. Sniper shots rain down around them, each one narrowly missing.
Void follows behind. As soon as Retry and SoS are in the cover of the house, Monkeypaw stops focusing on the guy on the roof, concentrating his aura being particularly exhausting.
The guy on the roof brings out the big guns. He launches a rocket directly at Void. The missile is sucked straight into him.
This sudden explosive burst is enough to tip Void over the edge. He glows white, the earth shakes. He erupts into a localised supernova. And Zircon City is no more.
* * *
Doctor Black was a hard man to track down, but Princess Professional was good at what she did. From CCTV footage at the university, she discovered he had driven to Mireton the day he had murdered Parapraxis. The plates were new fakes, that was a dead end. But what wasn't a dead end was the way Doctor Black and Antonine acted with each other (of what little she could see from the carpark footage). She deduced from their bearing, that Doctor Black was senior to Antonine, on the third rung and fourth rungs of an organisation respectively. High enough that he would be trusted for a mission of utmost importance, but low enough to be risked in the field.
Powered villains love too-clever-by-half allusions with their names, and once she saw it, there was something both Antonine and Doctor Black shares: the Antonine Plague and the Black Death. They were Crimson Plague. They both had names of old plagues, so the age of the plague had no relation to their status in the villainous society's hierarchy.
Having deduced all this, PP sent an email to her colleagues in the League of Paradise and they confirmed her suspicions: it was quite common for the more dedicated Crimson Plague to take plague names, though with all the converts and the brainwashed, this wasn't an iron-clad rule. They tell her of two known Plague members who follow this pattern, Anthrax and Cocoliztli.
When the call out came about the raid on Mistree's home, PP figured that Doctor Black would sure to be there. Him and Antonine were acting as assassins, clearing out mind-controllers in advance of the main invasion, as Parapraxis had warned.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she peeked over the high wall that surrounded the Williams' grounds. Parked in the large driveway was a long black car, identical to the one she had seen in the footage. Doctor Black or Antonine must be here!
She didn't have very long to feel pleased about the discovery as she, along with everything else in a ten mile radius, disappeared in a flaming inferno.
* * *
Having received this apocalyptic vision. Retry stops the team before they run in and kill everyone in the city.
She holds up a hand to Void, makes an exploding motion with her hands and gestures around to indicate the severity. She then points up in the direction of the clocktower, where the sniper waited out of sight. She mimics a bazooka. Void would have to wait this one out.
A fire glows in his eyes. "i could burn him out first..."
Void shakes her head. They didn't kill.
"i trust your thinking"
So Void hangs back out of sight while the Monkeypaw focuses on clocktower for the first time again.
Eventually, after running the gauntlet of being nearly shot once again, Retry and Spawn of Satan reach the edge of the big house. SoS smashes his horns against the glass of a patio door, but it just scratches the reinforced glass. Retry tries a few doors in quick succession before finding an opening into the kitchen on the west side of the building.
Once inside, Retry was stuck in a hell of her own making. The first time they burst into the Foyer, they saw several dead men wearing black suits and balaclavas, taken down by Mistree's powers. A drape is on fire from one of these powers. Mistree summoned out on the internal balcony looking down on the foyer. Antonine, in his slim dark suit and red tie, holding a squirming teenage girl by her hair, a pistol to her neck. Antonine, surprised by the intrusion, shoots the girl, then shoots Mistree. Retry tried again. Second time, they waited to watch at the door. They heard a gunshot, a scream, and a wet thump. The heroes burst in and Mistree was dead, but so was Antonine, painted red across the wall, completely liquidised, the teenage girl standing in shock.
Retry tried a third time, miming to Spawn to set flames. They swiftly engulfed the whole room, burning everyone. A fourth time, she tried throwing a rolling pin from the kitchen, but she as soon as she got in through the door, Mistree was shot, then the teen, then her. Fifth, Antonine and Mistree dead. Sixth everyone dies. Seventh, Spawn of Satan tries to run into the burning drape and is shot in the head first and Mistree kills tries to shoot Antonine and misses and he kills everyone again. Eighth, ninth, tenth... Retry felt each time, she was struggling harder and harder to push through the loop, she didn't feel like she could do this forever.
So it was the least bad option. In the kitchen, she held up her hand to stop Spawn. She waited a few beats. There was a gunshot, a scream, a wet thump. They walked into the room and the teenage daughter was the only one alive.
"Hey we're the good guys!" Spawn of Satan quickly said. A little too late. The traumatised girl screams and focuses her hands on the child hero. He throws up a hand and it turns to stone. He bursts into flame to protect the rest of his body from the transformation, disappearing in on himself and reappearing out of the burning drape. "We're not your enemy."
The girl, now recognising Retry's costume, stops her assault. Spawn puts up his hands, including the forever clenched shining obsidian fist, the pain of transformation burned away in his cleansing flame. "It's okay. It's okay," he says. "I love the hand."
There is the sound of an explosion up on the roof. Outside, Monkeypaw grins. Having been told about the bazooka, he decided to risk waiting in the open and causing shots to miss until the shooter on the roof brought out the rocket launcher. Monkeypaw caused it to jam on launch, blowing up the clocktower and the gunman inside.
The husband, Darius, and the other two Williams children are found safe in a panic room. None of the attackers survived.
