I suggest giving that one the SS roll, since you can't not use it once unlocked. Give them crippling panic.

He has no other option. The Turnip still splits. The only reason I let it slide is because the turnips stay still for 99% of their lives.

The World

The Yanardag Seamount has returned to calm.

But for a peculiar inhabitant, there is no calm. Insane Turp has developed, due to a sudden shift in sexual fencing tactics, a substantial degree of intelligence through an unorthodox case of Fisherian Runaway.

They are as intelligent as a small marsupial now. It has a basic sense of existing, and can remember what has occured before and act accordingly. It is an omni-savant in its ecosystem.

It is an efficent, cunning predator... Just, without the sharp, refined senses of one.

These pathetic creatures spend most of their lives in utter emptiness, their only sense being a primitive sense of smell. And so, without the necessary stimuli, they eventually stop thinking.

Speedy Seagranate, Zappy Pinecovy and Wimpy Seagranate are extinct; the first two got outcompeted, the last one was hunted to extinction.

I like how there is nothing going on on Çay Uplift. The species there are a relict population. If this goes on, one day you will look at them as fossil species that reflect back what once was.

I'm weighing up whether or not to bother improving Slowy... I thought it might have become an animal that round, but maybe its muscles are too nonfunctional for that?


Hmm, then, if the Seagranates no longer give the malus to sludgiboo pop, maybe they're not worth developing. Decisions, decisions...

Well, not like they have any reason to evolve. They're in a decent harmony of an ecosystem, with the fluff on top.

Team X2
Springster Fluffiboo improves upon it's circulation system, tying it together with it's gills, jet organs, and stomach to direct air, food, and water, and nutrients throughout the body. The outer skin thickens further to hold everything in, now that it has a way of processing food more efficiently. [SS Roll]
Saturnal Blimpie develops a circulatory system, once again with help from cross-pollination with the now Springster Fluffiboo. [SS Roll.]


Nothing saying both can't develop. Also see what happens.

Tat's what was leaving them in danger? Just as well you can no longer implant them so easily. Mostly cause they get eaten. Mmm, calimari and roe.

Insane Turp 2: Increase the defense of the flesh shell due to deceased population numbers.

OK, I'm backtracking on my rule against saving duff species, but I think these two have promise, so:

LGEM

Split Slowy Seagranate into two sister species:
A: Improve Musculature of Slowy Seagranate
B: Improve electric generation to mimic algae, to lure Lawnkeeper Glidees to their doom (like an electric version of Anglerfish)[SS]

Split Koala Sazan into two sister species:
A: Evolve layers of grinding teeth to more efficiently eat all this toxic foodstuff
B: Evolve a liver to actually digest the toxins properly [SS]


I expect some of these will be nonfunctional and instantly be outcompeted, but I might get lucky.
