Also, what's the status of the disease? How many are currently effected by it?

It's pretty much an ambient germ right now. Most species have immune systems now, so it shouldn't be a bother unless the event dice decides to screw you over.

The World

The magma bubble seems to have depleted from the creation of the smaller water habitat, and with no biological disaster occuring either, all things are stable once more.

The new sludgiboo hybrid was a only a partial evolitionary success, stemming from a couple stray hybrid planktonic embryos making the journey between the two habitats and then reproducing. They can hunt via engulfing like their benthic ancestor, and float like their pelagic one, albeit with some effort. There is a catch, however. The Çay Uplift is a little less then two-half-times as deep as the Guguli Shallows, and as it stands, they are very unfit for this habitat, having to ascend tens of meters as they feed, tire of swimming and sink down, and can only survive due to not having any competition there on the east.

Avalanche Sludgiboo and Flagellating Snatchiblie are gone from not being up to the new competition on the main habitat.

Ya know, we were 1 roll away from the turnips causing another catastrophe.

Team X2
Chimeric Flufiflimp improves it's oxygen collection. Other than general improvements, it also can store it in a floatation sack. When it needs to ascend, it can fill it, and when it needs to descend, it can empty it. And when it needs to be neutrally buoyant, it can keep some in reserve. The fluff on the top is also cleared for photosynthesis.
Yu-Ef-Oh Roomboo develops a spore chamber within it's bottom for it to release fertilized spores developed within it's body. It collects them from seaweed and then transplants them elsewhere to help it's food source spread. In this manner it can range further afield, as well as allow the species to dock with each other to reproduce. [SS Roll]


The Yu-Ef-Oh is the first bee. Spreading plantlife across the shallows. (This also massively buffs their numbers since every spore will be cross-fertilized before release.)
Meanwhile the Flufiflimp gets a floatation sack. Which it needs given it's weight pulls it down.

1. Speciate Must Scream into two sister species. Time to develop senses:

A: Develop Electroreception (this may count as an improvement on electrogeneration)
B: Mutate heat sensing pits for sensing infrared thermal radiation


2. Speciate Disguised Seagranate into two sister species (time for more countering):

A. Mutate a brain for threat/prey identification (remembering it can only digest slime and plants iirc)
B: Mutate electro-redirection with the long spines (an adaptation that backfires electric shocks of parasites etc)

Hmm, I've tried a few ways to prevent predation, but that strategy doesn't seem to do anything. Spines, armoured skin, hiding, swimming away, attempted immunity to electo-shock don't seem to have undone any of the maluses to population.

So, as it seems more effective just to increase the general fitness of a creature, that'll probably be what I do.

The predators you are trying to compete with are faster and more advanced than you. It's like the transition between Cambrian and Ediacaran; being a proto-animal just doesn't cut it anymore.

Kinda got the wrong roll selection there magma. Oof on that -3 though.
