Now it's my turn to nit-pick: I thought you had to grey out units when taking a second turn in a day?

This isn't a daily game, never was.

This is an hourly and daily hybrid game, I am an hourly player. For example, if it was all Cheetah players, this would be more obvious.

It's only when a Hippo player participates, that they must choose 1 and wait.

However, 24 hours passed, allowing me to switch from Z to you as the person I wait for.

...and since I did that 2 of my turns ago, and waited more than an hour...

...I was free to go again...

Technically speaking, this is also true of Hippos, who can go at the end and start of a day in even less time, so long as someone goes between them.

Also, it was not my intention to nitpick, but assure there is "no problem". Multiple mistakes might be seen as lazy if they pile up, but reading the rules wrong is a bit harder to avoid.

Well it's starting to look like I'm fucked not really sure how to save the mission from here. Also are you allowed to switch one guy to a different kind of guy like notquitethere did with the soldier that killed my flamethrower guy who is now suddenly a flamethrower guy?

Yep, I waited a turn without doing anything with that soldier and spent two actions to transform him:

    • (-2AP*) Swap: Any unit may transform into a different type if it didn't act last turn. However, this costs two actions!
