Should gun ownership rights belong to the original design, or should revisions create "new guns" with individual rights?

One design, one right - a gun and all its revisions only belong to one person at a time.
Each revision creates a new gun with rights different from the original.
I have no opinion.

GM Question
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

1 shipment can be produced per line, per phase.

Edit: oh jeez, the rules said "per turn", which was an error from an earlier version of the ruleset.  It is indeed supposed to be per phase.  Sorry for any confusion.

Rohnmohal Armoury is interested in what such a modest price would entail exactly.
Given the market's high demand of our weapons at 10$ net profit per unit and ammo at 3$, we are willing to offer our lines at weapon cost+15$ per weapon and ammo at a flat rate of 6$ per batch. So for three G18's batches and their matching ammo would be 117$. Man these military contacts don't pay what they used to.

Given the rate of return even with Rohnmohal's weapons for the Imperiosa contract, and a predicted 30% margin for said contract... Those prices, and that of MdlM, are nonviable. Because geez the rate of return on those contracts is below selling to the civilian market.

EuchreJack, Light Forger and Sensei each receive an identical offer. KashKow Industries will produce up to two (2) units* of their propriety pistol design before the end of  Spring 1920 on the condition they have a winning tender. Each unit* will be provided for $28.

*A unit is defined as a single shipment of a weapon plus one matching ammo shipment.

"Old Man!" A voice rings out over the din of machinery on the factory floor. A relatively youthful face marked by strong features and a curled and well-groomed mustache turns to the sound despite his uncharitable designation. A younger man standd at attention before their towering boss,

"Sir!" He bellows. "The boys and I ran the numbers on account of you not being all that good at the maths. . ." His words trail off some electing Gerhardt to motion him along. "Well sir, our rinky-dink little shop wouldn't even be able to produce half the arms for the Parvus Armory contract. We've gotta refocus before our ass falls out the bottom of this scrap heap."

There's dissatisfaction in the big man's sunken eyes, not within his boys, more so himself as one of his meaty fists grip tight the catwalk railing. "We'll have to brown nose after all. . ." He grumbles before quickly patting the younger man on the shoulder, "I'll do some calling 'round. Can't just let you fellas starve for nothin'."

GERHARDT & SONS is willing to produce a shipment of arms and ammunition for any other company for just over market price for the next few phases. Should that offer go unanswered, then they'll go ahead and tool their machines and produce a PARVUS PRESERVER '18 and ammo for it anyway.

[Edit: Actual turn moved, toomuch has changed]

Huh. How badly did I roll, that lever-delayed(blowback) became lever-action, that detachable box magazines became fixed internal ones, and that "repairs are not for unit-level, but armorer" became "cleaning is not for unit-level, but armorer"? Or was it just down to my writing being awful? Ohwell. Also, we do get charged the $100 for this design, right?

Anyone subcontracting production? I dont think I can fob this particular dumpster fire off on anyone, not in the weird state it is in now.

ACTACTACT

NOPE LLC will not be submitting a design to any trials. Instead, it offers its facilities for subcontracting at a cost+15 for weapons and cost+5 for ammunition, with a "we wont sell to civvies, but you need to buy all we make" clause

There are no rolls, they probably had to modify it since 1000m is too long for a blowback design.

Hail friend! Gerhardt and his boys have an idea cooking to fufill the contract that they've created their company for -- Should you be willing to produce 4 shipments of 7.92x55mm ammunition over the course of the next four phases, we'll be able to offer you $36 which would come out to slightly over market rate, though we're 'fraid that that's the most we'll be able to offer for such a contract.

$36 for four lots of 7.92x55, works for me.

Great. In that case;

Quote
Should GERHARDT & SONS secure both the Parvus Armory contract as well as receive aid that is currently in private discussion with KashKow Industries then NOPE LLC will provide four shipments of 7.92x55mm Ammunition. G&S will provide $36 of funding next phase should they receive the Parvus Armory contract.

SIGNED
GERHARDT & SONS

Should KashKow Industries sign the following contract before the end of this phase, then GERHARDT & SONS will petition for the Parvus Armory contract.

Quote
KashKow Industries will, upon acceptance of this contract, be bound to produce eight (8) shipments of the PARVUS PRESERVER '18 and four (4) shipments of 7.92x55mm Ammunition on the explicit condition that they receive $160 of up front payment (This being contingent on GERHARDT & SONS recieving the Parvus Armory contract. At the start of next phase)
In order to both fund a new Weapon Line and also be capable of producing two rifles this phase, G&S will provide $32 of the $160 on signing of this contract.

SIGNED
GERHARDT & SONS

On that note: GERHARDT & SONS will produce one (1) PARVUS PRESERVER '18 for $16 and one (1) unit of 7.92x55mm Ammunition for $3 this phase after tooling their production towards that.

Excellent, with that seen to, Gerhardt & Sons will bid for the Parvus Armory contract!

Spoiler: Parvus Armory contract (click to show/hide)

ACTACTACT

To the Parvus Armory, GERHARDT & SONS presents the aptly named PARVUS PRESERVER '18.

Comrades! Our journey has been rough, no? Even with the Great War over and gone, and with our new flag for which to stand proud under, we still are under the ire of bullys and dastards, no longer I say! An unwavering rifle, one that any man can pick up and fire, one that does not buckle under pressure, one that will remain a symbol of Parvus to beat back all the brutal powers. This is the PARVUS PRESERVER '18! A rifle made by men of Parvus for men of Parvus! Should you take this upon yourselves, you have GERHARDT & SONS every promise to continue our support as we refine our craft.

$32 of the $160 promise dollars are transferred to KashKow Industries should they wish to begin production now.
