Should gun ownership rights belong to the original design, or should revisions create "new guns" with individual rights?

One design, one right - a gun and all its revisions only belong to one person at a time.
Each revision creates a new gun with rights different from the original.
I have no opinion.

-Bid beat, see below for more-
SPOKANE is putting in a bid for $80 for the Krupp Allen Family.

Yaknow, I really think we should do the bidding elsewhere, if only to save on bloat. Also, I thought bidding had to be in multiples of five?

ACTACTACT
AUCTION
SPOKANE bids $90 for the Krupp Allen Family
SPOKANE bids on the following contracts:

Quote from: Occassio Secret Service #35
Offered: Seagull Secret Service Special M21
The Seagull Special is easily concealable, and has the reliability you need when it counts.
Quote from: Paupertas Irregular Units Command #49
Offered: Cuckoo Repeater M25*-FK
The Cuckoo is one of the lightest rifles on the market, and the intermediate rifle round it fires still has plenty of punch and range. Even better, the M25* model is select-fire for potential usage doubling as a submachine gun.
Quote from: Socialas Assault Teams #50
Offered: Woodpecker M28
In the world of automatic weapons, it’s impossible to beat the Woodpecker at being compact. With the stock attached, it’s capable of fully-automatic fire, allowing it to serve the same role as its larger and more ungainly SMG cousins.
Quote from: Singula Army Forces #51
Offered: Buzzard M18
The Buzzard is a venerable design, but there is still no better substitute for sending a swarm of large-caliber bullets downrange.
Quote from: Unknown Buyer #52
Offered: Vulture M24
Have you ever seen a rifle using direct impingement with a reciprocating barrel? How about one firing 13.5mm anti-tank rounds? Or better yet, a gun with a hand-crank? No? Well, the Vulture speaks for itself.

In the third stage of SPOKANE’s brand harmonization, the model numbers of guns have also been changed into a unified format. The Woodpecker becomes the Woodpecker M28, the Vulture-N1 becomes the Vulture M24, and the Buzzard-L becomes the Buzzard M18-L.

As agreed last turn, SPOKANE loans $100 to Aywen Industries.

More Seagull revolvers and matching ammunition are sold to the Civilian Market.

Is it allowed to sell or otherwise transfer your Production Lines (and ammo presses) to other players?

Aywen Industries probably wants to own all the ammo presses. One ammo manufacturer to rule them all!

That or they just want the weapon design and market share and want to sell the production line to recupe some of the cost.

Winter, 1929.  Design Phase.

GM NOTE: Remember, you can only submit ONE weapon per contract bid!

The Graf Zepplin circumnavigates the Northern Hemisphere, proving just how great airships really are.  The UTA experiments with an "Airship Cruiser", which will allegedly fly once construction finishes in a few years. Palestine riots break out between the Palestinians and the Jews in Mandatory Palestine, with a total of 249 dead.  Imperiosa begins rounding up dissidents in the former country of Parvus, which has now been annexed.  Plans for Germany's WWI reparations (a meager $26 billion) are finalized.  Mundo ramps up the border control to include "retroactive trespassing", which encompasses hereditary trespassing charges for children of trespassers. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia is founded - or rather, renamed.  Socialas's advance grinds to a halt at the major river running through Paupertas.  Canada announces that women are "persons" and thus eligible for appointment to the Canadian Senate.  Occassio begins ramping up their military spending.  Soviet General Secretary Joseph Stalin orders the "liquidation of the kulaks as a class".

Somewhere, in a dark room, a young man writes a very long fictional piece about weapon companies.  He sighs and rubs the carpal tunnel twinges out of his wrists.

It is now the design phase.  You may post a design for a new weapon or post a revision for an existing one.  New contracts will be posted and can be bid on next phase.
