Should gun ownership rights belong to the original design, or should revisions create "new guns" with individual rights?

One design, one right - a gun and all its revisions only belong to one person at a time.
Each revision creates a new gun with rights different from the original.
I have no opinion.

You still offering space in the ammo presses? If yes, how much you want? Is $8 for one unit fine with you?
I am indeed. Do you intend to purchase just the one unit of ammo? I was really hoping to get $9.

Quote from: SPOKANE Merger Agreement
Effective immediately upon the signing of this contract, the three companies Sandblaster Inc., NOPE LLC., and Korsgaard Armoury (henceforth the Constituent Companies) agree to merge all assets into one company, SPOKANE Corp. (Sandblaster, Poels, Omloop, Korsgaard, and Neefs Engineering), henceforth the Merged Company.

The Merged Company is to be treated as the legal successor of all Constituent Companies, and is bound by any and all contracts or other obligations the Constituent Companies have. All contracts currently in force with any of the Constituent Companies are now treated as being with the Merged Company. The Merged Company automatically has the rights to all property, including weapon designs and production equipment, owned by the Constituent Companies.

The Merged Company will be controlled by a board comprised of the CEOs of the Constituent Companies. Any of the Board Members may undertake action on behalf of the Merged Company provided that general consensus among the Borad Members exists in favour of that action. If no such consensus exists, then a majority vote in favour of the action is required.

SPOKANE is formed from a merger of NOPE LLC, Sandblaster, and Korsgaard Armoury. There is much noise about the fact that extant contracts with the company's constituent parts will still be honored.

In the offices formerly known as NOPE LLC, three units of M25 Repeaters and two units of 7.65x40mm NOPE LR are produced, six M20** Repeaters are converted to M25 standard, and $9 is delivered to Aywen Industries in return for a final unit of 7.65x40mm LR. These are all then packaged up along with the remaining warehouse inventory and delivered to the offices of the Ditissimus Unification Advocates, filling that contract.

In the offices of the company formerly known as Korsgaard Armoury, one shipment of KG24-N1 “Vulture” rifles and 13.5mm Korsgaard Anti-Materiel ammunition are produced and earmarked for the Paupertas Tank Hunters #42 contract.

In the old Sandblaster Inc premises equipment long neglected is put to work producing Vultures and ammo thereof.

In the new offices of SPOKANE, much furious paperwork is embarked on to rename things and unify finances, and a new ammo press is bought and put into production.

ACTACTACT: Last turn, Sandblaster defaulted on Mundo Border Patrol Office #30.

(Edit: Failed to account for M25 Repeater conversion costs)

Company Name: Tommelson-Dowers' Machined Weapons Producer (TD-MWP)
Market Share: $0
Cash: $150
Weapon Designs: None

Production Line #1: None
Ammo Press #1: None

Warehouse: 1 Occassio Company Charter – TD-WMP

ACTACTACT: Gun Design

Tommelson-Dowers' Machined Weapons Producer (TD-MWP)
Name: Light Scout's Rifle, Model 1928 (LSR-28)
Type: Straight-Pull Bolt-Action Rifle
Ammo: 8x45mm
The first rifle the two best friends, Tommelson and Dowers, ever designed. The LSR-28 is a rifle meant for mobile troops such as scouts or pathfinders who need to cut down on overall weight without sacrificing too much in the firepower department. It is 7.75lbs with a total length of 130cm , it features a notched-knob style rear sight that could be zeroed for 50m to 500m, with each turn of the zeroing knob being a 25 meter increment allowing for precise and accurate shots. It also comes with a 12rnd capacity internal magazine fed via two 6rnd stipper clips, its increased capacity partially thanks to slightly smaller caliber. TD-MWP went for the lighter caliber to calm both inner and external worries of a large caliber risking catastrophic and dangerous failures of the straight-pull bolt-action system they wish to implement.

Spring, 1928.  Contract Phase.

GM Note: I only need to know ACTx3 if you are designing, revising, bidding, or defaulting on a contract.

All hail King Zog the First, the new ruler of the Albanian Republic!  Long may he reign unimpeded by foreign interests!  The United Adriatic Triad begin putting pressure on Singula to integrate despite previous promises to respect their sovereignty - the Singula Prime Minister begins negotiations with a frankly insulting demand that the Singula Government remain intact and at the head of the UAT.  Alexander Fleming accidentally discovers (or really, rediscovers) the antibiotic known as "Penicillin", which will save more lives than nearly any other human invention, ever.  The Iron Lung is invented and used for the first time in Children's Hospital, Boston.  The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is formally established.  Socialas continues to make gains into Paupertas, and military analysis conclude the war will end within a year at the current rate of advance.  Herbert Hoover is elected president in the United States! Long may he reign unimpeded by foreign interests!  The Hoover Dam (currently known as the Boulder Dam) is approved by congress.  Colombia sends military forces to suppress a month-long strike by United Fruit Company workers, killing an unknown number.  Mundo sends military forces to suppress riots regarding their inhumane treatment of immigrants, killing an unknown number.

Korsgaard Armoury, NOPE LLC, and Sandblast Inc. have taken advantage of the new legislation to form SPOKANE Corp.  Their production lines, ammo presses, weapon IP's, and market share have been merged into one entity.  Should SPOKANE Corp win, each player will receive only 1/3 of the victory - which, admittedly, is more than 0.

It is now the contract phase.  You may post bids for the listed contracts.

The best friends Tommelson and Dowers both are proud of themselves for the creation of their first ever rifle. With cheers hollering out in their small workshop amongst their workers when they try it out on the small test range they have behind the building. They had the brains to cut it in this market, they knew it, but Dowers would notice certain issues in their infancy. Small shavings of the delicate innards when sand or dirt got sprinkled in, the odd "stick" of the bolt when left to the elements for too long. While small here in the workshop, such things would be devistating in the field. A revision was needed to address these issues, damn the price. They had the workings of an amazing rifle, they knew it, they just needed to shake the bugs out of it. Meanwhile, while Dowers started to write up a revision to fix the issues, Tommelson worked out a bid for a contract. One that seemed perfect for their rifle with The United Triad of the Adriatic. The shop-workers start up the first ammo line to start producing shipments of 8x45mm Cartridges for the order.

ACTACTACT:
Contract Bid
Quote
Contract: United Triad of the Adriatic #45
Bid: LSR-28

Offer: We may be new in the arms manufacturing business, but we can promise the bleeding edge of capability from our rifles. This weapon was designed for elite troops and it will only compound the lethality your elite corp while allowing them to easily traverse the rough terrain because of the lighter weight.

Error correction:

Gerhardt and Sons has zero inventory, as the 12 guns and ammo in their stockpile was seized to fulfill their contract with Parvus.  They still have the market share, however.
