No, it's mostly gibberish.  Some of the tanks have water in them, but you can't identify the others.  They're not in simple words, but in some other kind of chemical system with little numbers and really complicated words and such.

The screens are similar.  There are boxes with numbers in them, big boxes with more numbers, bars with blue and red sections, more boxes with green sections, and little lines with more numbers on them drawn between the various boxes and bars and what not.

And a red line at the top of the screen saying 'evacuation alert, combat imminent.'

You peck a few spaces and buttons at random.  There is a hissing and a lot of grumbling, but noting seems to happen at this time.

Hmm… let’s go back to the hallway.  Wasn’t there another door?

Up the ladder, you hear a hissing nose and see some water flowing into an empty tank.  But nothing immediately noticeable.

Back in the hallway, there's the door to the animal lab, as well as hatches leading forwards and aft.

Lets head through the aft hatch.

You fly through the aft hatch, and once more the door opens for you.  This is so good.

The next hallway has three doors in it, along with another hatch leading further aft.  The first one is a "Security Station", and contains a bunch of weapons and tools in it.  You recognize some of the human electric-firing weapons, along with a bunch of large nets, blankets, and pointy sticks.  There's a few other racks and drawers you don't explore at this time.

The other two rooms are 'Animal Lab Stores' and 'Research Equipment Stores'.  These contain many, many boxes.  MANY boxes.

Lets go into the animal lab stores and see what kinds of animals they have.

I doubt they have animals in there, but I believe they should have something much better.

You start tearing into the crates.  Fortunately, they're just soft plastic, so your capable claws are able to open them easily.

The first few contain a wide variety of all kinds of tasty smelling food.  You're full, so you aren't ready now, but there's a lot of meat-like stuff and a lot of fruit like stuff and some grain like stuff and some seeds.  And a couple of cans of powder, a couple bags of salt, and a couple of mixing machines.

Next are some cage materials.  Some look like the ones for you and Invisibird, but others are larger and heavier duty.  There is also a couple of very small wire mesh cages, obviously intended for tiny creatures.

After this you get to some cold humming boxes, plugged into the wall.  Hmm.  Opening up the first one, there's a whole bunch of funny-looking test tubes with lots of different stuff in them.  A quick count shows at least 20, all with gibberish alphanumeric labels below them.

Next one has some eggs in it.  Upon closer examination, each one has a tiny hole in the top of the eggshell, perfectly round.

The third one contains a dozen small jars of clear liquid chemicals, similar to the ones you saw in the lab already.

Back against the wall is an older crate, a bit discoloured.  It doesn't open as easily as the other ones, being stiff.  Curious, you energetically pry the top open.  It pops open, unfolding into a wide, flat, metal table-like thing, too quick for you to dodge.  It gets your right leg, badly, causing you to bleed black blood all over the floor.  It hurts bad.

..It doesn't seem immediately life threatening.

The metal table contains a number of strange metal instruments, mostly small, varying in size between that of a needle and a screwdriver.  They're marked, not by letters, but by diagonal lines, ranging from 1 for the smallest and 12 for the largest.

Look at the crates of food and see if any of the powders are flower and use that flower to staunch our bleeding wound.

Why are we using flower?  Shouldn’t we be using flour?

I meant to say flour but my brain is stupid and put flower.

Are you going to edit your post, or are we still using flower?

Oh, one of the powders does indeed have flowers on it.  Pictures of flowers, that is.  You spread some of it over your wound, and it sops up the blood and eases the oozing.

Still hurts, though.
