What about the ones under the closed bench with the clear cover?

Just checked there.  It's empty space with pipes and a bucket.

Do we think we could get past that fan and find out what's beyond it?

Behind the fan is a tube, leading to a vent.  The fan is also.. <crunch>

No longer in the way, as you manage to tear it out with your beak.  But the vent is way too small for you.  It was probably too small for you before you bulked up, even.

Alright.  What’s left to check?

There's a lot of machines to examine, and the obvious goal is to find a way out of the lab area.

Does the locked door have a glass window that we can break, and would the created opening be big enough for us and invisibird?

The door is painted wood and doesn't have a window.

The locked door is firmly shut.  There is a metal plate covering where the tongue would be.  There's a keypad next to it with numbers on it, and the handle doesn't move.  It's locked.

(Do you want a hint?)

You can't tell the whole code, but it must have a 0 and a 5 in it.

Search the room for any papers with a 5 and 0 on them then try that on the key pad.

Does the door have a regular lock cylinder that we can pick, in addition to the keypad?

There are too many numbers to figure it out from the context and your grasp of reading is too rudimentary to figure it out.  Your little brain whirls trying to figure out more words.. you almost have it, you just need something to help you translate the words into meaning.

Does the door have a regular lock cylinder that we can pick, in addition to the keypad?

(6)

Not as such.

It might be possible to do something if you can make a much better tool or find some other way around the flat metal panel.  Or maybe work on the door in some way?

Are the doors hinges on this side of the door?  Can we get the cover off of the keypad mechanism and expose it’s circuitry?

Search the room for a dictionary then use it to find the meaning of the words.

(1) Dictionary.. that's a book with a lot of words in a list, right?

..You think you ate one.  Welp.

And nothing else comes to mind immediately when looking over the papers.. but perhaps you're missing something?  Maybe later.

Are the doors hinges on this side of the door?  Can we get the cover off of the keypad mechanism and expose it’s circuitry?

No, the hinges are on the far side, this door opens outwards.  As for the cover..

(12) (10)

You poke at it with your beak and get shocked again.  Oddly, this time it doesn't seem to hurt as much as the last time.

Inside is the naked keypad with an electronics board below it.  There are a dozen wires going to various screwed in posts on the board, of all different colours.  Touching one of these shocked you.
