Actually, wow, yes, it hadn't even occurred to me how useful this could be. I've had a few zones consistently getting short-changed on automatic construction supply distribution. One of the main reasons I've been looking forward to transitioning to Demetalization has been that almost all of my common/rare metal production has been coming from my capital zone this entire game. Being able to manually move stuff around will help me micromanage a lot more effectively.

Will I ever get the useful profile feat that's been hovering around 10% for the last two dozen turns or so? Who can tell. But another useless one at 1% - right away. Lord RNG, thou art a dick sometimes.

Apropos nothing as far as this game goes, I started a new SP game to test the patch's changes. It would have been an interesting MP game - 255y of colonization led to 3b population in 16 zones. Post-fall pop is 1.5m across 6 majors and 7 minors...

[And my 2-zone start is actually only 1 zone, eek. Although there is a railroad out to my furtherest-out asset, but no railhead. And hmm, there's an asset with 300 automatic pull points assigned that's getting 0 logistics vs. one getting 600 with 150 pull points - who continues to get all of them even if I manually forbid traffic down roads leading to it. Check your logistic networks; the patch may screw things up after all...]

[OMG, there was no truck station in the only zone they gave me - just a rail station with no terminus. That's screwed up, but shouldn't impact our game... ><]

I have terrible spending habits. I know I should pause all construction projects and fanciful road building to prioritise demetalization and industry. But I keep building shit. Just one little road across the mountains. Just one more hospital.

I feel your pain. I'd have more restraint if I couldn't rationalize it by putting lower focus on less-important projects. "Oh, it's fine, the 4 frivolous buildings are only getting 25% building resources!" [ETA: those 4 frivolous buildings in the same city, plus 1-2 frivolous buildings in every other city which are at 25-50% as well.]

At least the latest patch lets me manually focus on particular zones by moving resources and industry into them.

(And if after reading those last two statements you think I've exiled myself to a micromanagement hell, why yes, my turns HAVE been taking more than an hour to complete for a while now!)

That sounds right based on the rapid northern expansion of grog'd beef distribution channels.

We've been dealing more with serious health code violations as we attempt to force compliance on Cave Beasts who've been butchering and consuming unauthorized meats ATM, but that's mostly a matter of regional preference and availability. The Cave Beasts would probably be willing to eat grog'd beef instead of health code inspectors if they had the opportunity.

Designed rocket model. I wanna say that'll unlock Launcher as well, but I'm guessing you're mostly just concerned about Payload. It's kinda annoying that RPG units use PO to scale their effectiveness, but can't unlock it.
