Oh, you have three cults? And nuclear plants? And radiation cleansing facilities? And a fuckton of cities? While we at WC are stagnating?
No, I'm not jelly. You're jelly. In fact, you're a towel.

(ugh, half an hour of processing time...)

I wonder if there's something in the dissolution that caused us all to have no corps. It feels like this was the first game where I never had one.

Have you two been paying attention to the whole "closed for diplomacy" thing? I had ~20 turns where things were closed everywhere, then they opened up last turn, and now they're closed again. I very opportunistically used that brief window to butter up the neighbor of the isolated vassal district that Hornstein invaded, so now it's two zones worth of militia against the 4th-ranked power (because Wernerstein looks to have finally grabbed all of Dando's stuff, and jumped from 4th to 2nd this turn), but I still have no idea why diplomacy is opening and closing...

Most of my nearby minors are Cepheloids and uh, I'm not really treating them diplomatically.

Consistently closed for me so far, with that one break I mentioned earlier.

I have no idea WHY they finally decided to do so, but Zimmer Corp put in an appearance in my territory this turn. Are you lot corped up now, or are y'all still lacking in that regard?

Hornstein looks like they're on the verge of eating two minors. One of those two is all that's standing between me and finding out just how hapless my two upstart former client zones under my 2SHQ are w/o access to a steady supply of metal. So that should be !FUN!. Not that fighting off wildlife with militia units hasn't already been fun for them...

Appeared for me also this turn.

Looks like we've all had it appear in the same turn.

Either of you have a good sense for how Tax Bonus works (or doesn't work?)? Its tooltip makes it sound like it's a straight increase to private asset credit production and income tax revenue, but I got Discipline (+50% Tax Bonus) maybe 3 turns ago, and my income doesn't seem any different despite my fairly-high income tax levels.

I rarely go enforcement, so idk.

New beta patch dropped- features more changes to the supply and demand with the traders (we'll see how that shakes out) and supposedly a fix for the formation types thing.

Also finally gained access to a lake (lol). Water income went from a few hundred rainfall collections to over 5,000. And I just discovered Ice Mining Optimization too :'( (C'mon traders, buy water!)

Since we're talking economy, I'm running on metal fumes here.

Btw, the patch seems to have fixed the diplomacy.

The big changes I'm seeing are a sudden desire for Fuel and Food.

I'm pretty sure all of us are running on metal fumes to various degrees. Well, IDK about the Grognards - the south seems richer in metal than the north. I'm feeling pressed enough about the transitional period to Demetalization that some fairly questionable salvage ops have sprung up. At least you've got Demetalization ops  upgrading to level II in your capital - you're further along with cutting the umbilical cord than we are.

I'm kinda happy to see the various changes that won't affect this game in the patch; I've been an advocate of nerfing Solar and making it more variable for a long time, forex, although I'd still like to see it become dependent on hex conditions (i.e. rainfall). I get why that didn't happen, though; it'd make balance even worse. Right now the placement RNG is bad enough w/o adding "only some people are completely reliant on Fuel for reliable energy for half the game" as a possible factor. It'd be nice for single-player, but not so much for MP.

Looks like I'm going to lose a race with my friendly AI major to conquer the one conquerable minor I have here, by a turn or two. What's more they might cut me off from my vassals in the process. At which point I'll be stuck with my initial four cities for the foreseeable future. :/

...I REALLY wish it had occurred to me to scrap the useless militia vehicles in my 2SHQ before Hornstein started blowing them up rather than after. I suppose that brief window where they were seeming effective against the aggressive minor pushing on our border (before Hornstein blitzed that nation's rear) made me think they might be worth more alive, however briefly. And there was only one turn between the minor falling and Hornstein starting the industrial slaughter. Still, that's a lesson I should have learned last game.

...and now I have to decide whether letting my troop morale suffer by getting the militia of the disconnected vassal that just joined killed instead of their resources captured with the zone's stockpiles is worth it. Ugh, Grognards, I hope you appreciate how my nation's morale is gonna suffer to slightly slow down Hornstein's advance...

(Yes, I shouldn't have vassalized Richilieu. I didn't appreciate how fast Hornstein was going to hit their (and the two unconnected northern zones making up my 2SHQ's) borders, and thought they might have a chance to connect with the 2SHQ. Nope, not even close.)

[As an aside, if White Castle is lacking new franchise opportunities, they shouldn't be afraid to do what I've been doing and opening branch offices on every corner. While you won't get massive influxes of new population from them, shuffling your population around does let you squeeze more one-per-city assets out of the same amount of population, and prevent all your potential bureaucrats from taking unproductive jobs in the private sector where they'll do nothing but make the populace's lives happier.]

[Oh. And while it's definitely not optimal, you could still get your disconnected vassals connected to you via air bridges. That, or set up a second SHQ for them, which admittedly would mean you'd still need to make air bridges to exchange resources with your first SHQ if you couldn't make them self-sufficient.]
