I tanked worker wages to .01 right in the first few turns to not starve to death. It's been... ok

Gotta say, this game has been a lot more relaxing than the last simply b/c I'm not making myself write up AAR notes.

1d100+112 to beat 2d100+35
What is the % chance here? An online calculator gives me ~10%, but that can't be right. Right?

And not at all because you're in the lead?

Anydice says that 1d100 + 112 has a ~69% chance to beat 2d100 + 35. Eyeballing it suggests that ~10% is definitely too low, since the 2d100 would need one dice to roll a 77 or higher to offset the difference between 112 and 35. Even with two chances that is only going to happen ~40% of the time, and the second dice still needs to beat whatever the 1d100 rolled.

My Anydice numbers agree with USEC_Officer. This is the input I used, checking the 0 line of the At Least tab:

Code: [Select]
output ((1d100+112)-(2d100+35))
And no, not having to take notes makes it a lot less of a burden to do my turns. I can just do them. It's a lot less mentally taxing. There's things about my situation that feel more stressful than the last game at this point, not least b/c I have my experience in the last game telling me my lead is ephemeral and not at all safe, but not having to document things gives me more distance to relax about it. Not saying that should make sense, pretty sure it's weird irrational stuff, but it's how my brain is interpreting things.

Does anyone have a screenshot of what a Slurnira looks like? I had a stack of 15k of them eat the better part of a battalion in an area I was planning on withdrawing from, so I didn't stick around to find out what they are, but I'm curious if that was just sheer weight of numbers or if they're actually nasty critters on their own...

IDK if I'm above or below average this game, nor if anyone else wants to admit where they stand, but...

I mean, as much as I complained early on about being surrounded by mountains with no water, there has been one advantage.
