Oh, look. There's a market for water again. SELL! SELL! SELL!
Yeah even I've been selling some (still don't have any free surface water)

In other news, I look at the ever-increasing bloat of the AIGB and wonder if the game is already decided.

Well, FWIW, I have one more vassal and other than that no free real estate available. So that'll slow my snowballing significantly.

In other news, I just got all the village loot I hadn't last turn, so it looks like it's showing up the turn after you started and finished a turn in control of the space.

I'm more concerned about the land area, tbh.

I can't help but wonder if the sudden war to my north somehow affected the water prices in your various regions. seeing as my capital city is literal lake country... hmmmm

I've found most of the majors. They're all clustered together.

Land area makes much less of a difference in a PBEM game, b/c there's always the option of killing me off, and it doesn't translate to all that much of a direct advantage for me - just more borders to police.

I disagree. Land is a key bottleneck. More land => more resources => better economy => better military.

I don't imagine our beleaguered Salmeuk has a whole lot of mines in his 0.8% land area, despite quite alright a population score.

Unless you can afford to build new cities out where you find more resources, you're going to crush your economy by putting your Admin Strain penalties through the roof.

Also, I have to say, prospecting on this planet has been pretty underwhelming for me. I found one useful mineral deposit on turn 2 or 3, one artifact, and everything else has been fuel or water - neither of which I lack for. In principle, there should be plenty of minerals to find; we have 133% heavy elements on the planet. But so far, I'm not finding them. IDK if that's incompetent prospecting, unfortunate geography (my nation's core only has one area where tectonic plates really meet - all the rest are towards my frontiers, as I'm sitting on fairly large plates for the most part), or simple bad luck, but for whatever reason...

I'm not joking when I say I think I rolled a majority of the metal deposits within my starting zones. I'm also no joking when I complain about these fucking tank brigades. All military leadership is dead, and whomever I hire is immediately killed the next turn.

The aliens are sturdy but unable to make progress. I still predict a loss in the next turns.... due to the burden of war placed upon the population. there is talk of rebellion

I still haven't managed to design an RPG. Glad I didn't have an early major war

Land doesn't always translate into wealth, but it always increases the number of units you need to defend your borders.

I usually think instead in regards to Ruins, as they guarantee at least some resources. They're also compact and easy to defend.

Karlito, you old dog. Did you by any chance send the same turn twice to good Salmeuk? Because we are having a kerfuffle here.

I don't think I did. We're playing round 31 yes? He did email me just now and I reloaded my autosave and send him the new turn file which should fix things if they somehow got mixed up.

This should be turn 32 now. 31 was six hours ago.
