By control, I mean - occupy, in fact.

Yes, I am saying what would happen if we played dwarf fortress in the 40k galaxy. Except with forumites.

Lets find out what happened to the Squats!

We'd all die because I suspect none of us have any real survival skills and the local wildlife would likely be anywhere from indigestible to toxic.

Or the Tyranids would kill us.

Or the Imperium because we're clearly chaos-tainted.

We'd be fucked basically is what I'm saying.

Well, can we still mod the world?

But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Can we opt out of this, as I don't want to go to some random planet and die.

We just have to find some Orks to manipulate. And orks are everywhere. Boom, all the technology etc. we require, we just need to position ourselves correctly to them.

Also use the communications relay to signal nearby alien species and hope for the best. Actually we do that first, Orks are the insurance policy. Worst case we kill 2 birds with one stone and find an acceptable enemy for the Orks to Waagh against.

There should be some feral Orks around, we probably just have to paint ourselves rainbow coloured and make a big enough explosion to be worshipped.

If we're on a distant world, we're very likely to never encounter the Imperium barring a few black traders or rogue traders, or some deathwatch scouts. If the Tyranids were going to kill us, then we would've already been eaten. Between the lot of us there are people with basic survival, crafting, brewing and farming skills, with a skill loadout that is not less than starting 7 dwarves in an embark. And there'd be more than 7 of us, assuming we didn't arrive in ironic migrant wave mechanics and succumb to stress. My vote is we steer our planet into the warp and become another Q'Orl so we can exploit time mechanics. And if we all die - eh, at least we gave it a shot

We can probably make the Toad a warp entity, wrapped up with all the dwarf fortress associations nothing should crack that.

The Toad would no doubt be typecast as a surviving Old One, working on his own secret project; the fantasy universe generator

The good news is, we wouldn't die of starvation, thirst, or orks.

That bad news is, we would all* die of being eaten by demons. Either because we know too much about Chaos and don't worship the Emperor, or because someone would be a psyker, try to figure out magic, and turn into a demon.

*It's debatable whether or not the psyker would survive the process. I'd give 9% odds.

If Bay12 spawned in a random planet in 40k, it will only end in EXTERMINATUS.
The amount of heresy emanating from this forsaken place is obscene.
Maybe we’ll put up a good fight tho!

It's so obscene, we'd be poker chips. We simply know too much. If Inquisitors ever get wind of us we'll be being fought over by basically all the factions.

So... status quo for 40k, they can't do shit and we can probably proceed.
