your strategy. At the start of the fight, I couldn't fathom what you were up to but then it all came together— you built the deck perfectly for that region.

Oh I have nothing against your deck or plan Stirk. It's the specific cards themselves. You literally built the perfect deck for them and, on top of that, got the perfect circumstances to win: your opponent didn't even try to block you.

Live by the motto, win by the motto: The only heart that matters is the last! Sure, I dealt myself 9 damage that game- but I had a UB in hand that I could've used to get rid of the Demons in the worst case scenario, and if DGR had had more stuff to fight me with, the Demons would've killed themselves against blockers sooner. The life loss was a cheap price to pay for what I got. Mind you, I did have a pretty good draw.

No good cards to play. But that's what I'm saying- if DGR had played good cards, my demons would've died before dealing so much upkeep damage.

New hand. Figured that it'd be a better long-term play to earn a star executing the Wooly and keep my current refinery alive, than to play a second refinery to earn that same star and let the Wooly deal with my first one.

My plan from here is: if I draw my second Refinery soon, I'll Release the Lifeboats and then Fog them both into play the turn after. It'll discourage board-wipes while giving me a hefty Star payout going forward, which will play well with my high-cost cards.

Just remember that Fog can only summon creatures, it doesn't work with Release the Lifeboat.

I think we used them all in that demon summoning ritual that didn't seem to work.
We'll just have to harvest some more!

Just remember that Fog can only summon creatures, it doesn't work with Release the Lifeboat.
You misunderstand. I'd play lifeboats first, then next turn would use fog to  double-Refinery in order to set up an economy while discouraging a board wipe.

Edit: Dangit, I didn't consider the possibility that it doesn't count as a card being destroyed if it isn't technically 'damaged'. At this rate this is going to become a confusing mess of metagaming where literally every single choice of wording and phrasing can make or break a card.
