KK. I would have suggested the university, since you could shuffle hypersummon back in for a new draw.

Luck to thee. But yeah, the valley is a case where we need more easy star gen options, if only to gain access to the meteors just waiting in the discard pile.

You had better keep an extremely close eye on your star count. Do you have a solution to the Mountain of Bodies? No, you can't jut crash into it with Thorn Ward up, that's only once per enemy turn.

The best shot is to just hit it with like 10 stars worth of Stellar Bombardment or something. Or Thorn Ward a Firebase.

There's just not much in the way of options to deal with that thing.

Barring a doubled up Pacifist, Invader Guardians can manage it. A hypersummoned Firebase also shreds anything they have. Likewise, Thorn Ward Hypersummon on Witch.

My main issue is we don't have good enough startup to make use of the Meteors lying in our discard pile. Where they just have Fish. If we fight there and lose, their GY is going to be more intimidating next time.

Thorn Warding Firebase doesn't really protect it that well, since that's a two turn play.

Big Friendly Ghost will happily return it to their hand. Since playing Mountain of Bodies removes the targeted cards in the graveyard from the game, even if they have the stars to play it again they can't replay it with the same corpses to feed it.

Well, I didn't draw any Big Friendly Ghosts, Solo Star Powers, or Summer Star Maidens in my opening hand or first draw. That's going to make things trickier.

Corrected on my battlefield. This one is much easier, yeah? I can Hypersummon Meteors!

Supernerd, I'd like you to stop buffing pacifist beyond all reason. It can actually kill!?

A player is not a card, so yes.
I do not recall any buffs being made to the card even once, let alone multiple times.

Game Deciding Ruling
Does a Hypersummon of a Quickplay card itself count as quickplay?
I.E. if I use a Hypersummon in the city to summon either a Summer Star Maiden or a Firebase would the Hypersummon be quickplay?

I really doubt this works, but I also really want it to because I can use it for the most 180 turn around ever if it does.

'Quickplay' isn't technically a thing in CYOGTCG wars, but I do know what you mean.

The answer is no. Cards that are brought into play as a result of card effects have no interaction with the 'one card per turn' rule and in this case Hypersummon was the one card. If Hypersummon is used to search for and play a card that does not count towards your one card per turn limit, then that would not change Hypersummon to not count towards the limit too.

Well, I'm probably going to lose my own match because my opening hand bricked, but it's not a certain thing. If I do, I'm pretty sure we've lost all our matches this turn.

We have a pretty severe lack of three things.

Engine cards - stuff like convenient draw, searching, star gain, summoning, etc. We have some, but nowhere near enough.

Synergy - their team has a lot more synergistic cards than ours.

Aces - what do we have in terms of stuff that actually ends a match? Cards in the range of three to five star cost with heavy, profound effects. We have good fodder but they can clean up fodder really easily.

Any thoughts?

Been trying to keep to theme, don't see Isekai as anything but pure strik.
