It is a black box without an opening. Its weight and slick, shiny surface makes you think its either metal or stone, but banging it against a rock doesnt even scratch its surface.

You try to remember your previous life at the safety of the Oasis Seven, which you left oh-so-many nights ago...

A) An eye-priest, guided by the Eyes that once inhabited the Sitting-Brains.
B) A magician, calling upon the powers of the Night Gods.
C) A roboticist, salvaging and repairing the Metal Ones.
D) A soldier, clad in plasteel and wielding the white and red weapons.

You're a merchant, with knowledge of items procured, traded and available in the Desert, as well as the groups of people that might wander and dwell within its barely hospitable areas.

You pack up your pitiful belongings into the big bag and look around.

To the north, you see tall dunes and occassional stone surface.

To the east, you see cracked soil, surely a basin of a long-evaporated lake.

To the west and south, you see more sand. You remember coming from the south, that's the general direction of Oasis Seven - but why would you return there, with no loot to brag about and no stories to share?
