Zany'd
Is this even a real word?
I'd contract "Zany would" (or could?) as "Zany'ld", even though 1) it'd be "I'd", "She'd", "We'd", etc, for non-name, 2) the "L" is already silent[1] and 3) that typography might confuse lower-case L with upper-case i, depending upon font. Despite this, it's my instinctive way. Haven't checked any authorities on the matter (half of them disagree with the other half, on various matters, anyway!), so perhaps it just is as above for most people.
"To be made zany", on the other hand, would be "Zanied". With the possible exception of needing the notation that separates the likes of "learned" (past participle of "learn", see also "learnt" in all civilised versions of English) and "learned" (having the quality of scholarliness, alternatively spelt "learnèd", "learn'ed", etc, in poetic contexts).
Or it could be a proper (albeit adopted) name of some 'street' artist (of any medium... spraypaint, lyrics, synth, deck-spinning...), 'cos they do all kinds of weird things.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand... Pre-vespertine!
[1] On the basis both that if it isn't sounded it can't be
removed, from what is quoted speech, and also as a weird schwa-surrogate that has no consistency in English orthography but seems to work for me.
