"No, I mean it, really, I rarely get patrons willing enough to chat about the workings of the space community." Max hums for a moment, and takes a sip.

"What, you don't know that stuff? You must have only recently left planetsides, then, am I right?"

"Incorrect, I am a drone, and I have barely any 'common knowledge' beyond what my programming gave me and what I learned before taking up the job with SRC." Max lets out an 'aaah' and nods.

"Right, you guys were basically puppets before you got liberated. I mean, sorry, puppet is wrong term, uh, well. No offense..."

"Drone is the one and only term, really."

"Yeah..." He slowly drinks the remainder of his Capricorn, perhaps out of the desire to keep his mouth shut for few seconds.

"Alright, get me a shot of Skinjuice and I think I will be going back to the ship."

You nod and quickly pour some of the fruity-smelling synthol into a shot glass. Max lets you scan his credchip again (+10c)

"Thanks." He takes a sip, but that sip empties half the shot anyway. He might be willing to chat a bit longer, though.

A) "How's the rest of the crew doing, I mean, is there a chance they might show up?"
B) "So Cargo Bares deliver bulk cargo, while Armed Merchantships deal with smaller and varied items. Are there other merchant vessels to keep note of?"
C) "You guys come through here often? Beta Carotenii, I mean?"
D) Nah, let's not keep him here.

"You guys come through here often? Beta Carotenii, I mean?" Max thinks for a brief moment.

"Not really. Our cargo took us through here because it was fastest in terms of jumps between Lyan Gamma and Brittania. Usually we fetch cargo between Zanzibar and Aries sectors rather than around Zanzibar itself." He downs the remainder of his shot, and smiles. "Alright, I gotta go. Cya!"

"Please come again." You say to Maxmillian who's already on his way to the gate.

The date is 666 United Space Year. Computer Specialist Mikhaila Syarkova enters the casual meeting between Captains Zirconius and Timble, and explains her findings. The communications core of the Pink Galleon contains logs of holo-communications as well as messages between Crime Lord Borellion and several influential Federal politicians in the region, including the previous Chief of Space Fortress Poseidonis, Alarcus Marble. Syarkova futher explains that most of the logs were transferred several weeks earlier from another communications core, and she managed to find out the original log depository was the comms core on the Esmeralda. Going through the logs, Zirconius and Timble discover quite several recent communiques between Borellion, two anonymous Crime Lords, and Federal Council Secretary Nwabudike Delligan, who is running to be elected as next Federation President and is favorite of many sectors, on top of being well-connected to the Federal Police and Starfleet upper echelons. Zirconius and Timble brood over the emergence of such volatile and dangerous information, with the former realizing that's probably why Borellion wanted Xusxus and his ship destroyed in the first place. Once the field repairs aboard Hyperion-3 are completed, Timble returns to his own corvette, while Zirconius ponders what to do next with the salvaged comms core...

Thus ends Chapter 5.

A) Le gasp? Federal politicians being corrupt? Surely they won't drop this arc in Chapter 6, right? Right??
B) Okay, enough entertainment, time for maintenance manual education!
