"Now that we're alone, can you tell me some more about Miss Gloria? Or the skeleton you guys took out of my fuel pump?"

Francis taps at the counter, takes a sip, and then shrugs.

"Well, Miss Gloria Heldenskaven disappeared on this Outpost ten years ago. She was a passenger on board some luxury cruiser. You know, ferrying VIPs around in secure environment. She left her ship quarters, then checked in to the bar. Six hours later when the ship was supposed to leave, she was registered as missing. S'tivan, a caninoid bartender, was manning the Outpost but he denied any involvement. Poseidonis found no traces of foul play back then. She just simply... disappeared." Francis takes a sip of his mix.

"Is it her skeleton that you've found in the fuel pump?" The lieutenant shakes his head.

"No, it's some random no-name. Nothing in Federal database about him, so he might've been a stoaway, a bandit, an unfortunate murder victim..." Francis shrugs, and grimaces. "Your outpost is raking quite high body count, you know."

A) "How's it going, space policeman?"
B) "You seem very into holovids, you've seen a lot?"
C) "I'm still wondering how exactly did the skeleton end up wedged into a secure power box."
D) "I hear all about S'tivan, and I know he was one shady dog, but what else can you tell me about him?"
E) "What do you like, besides holovids?"

"I'm still wondering how exactly did the skeleton end up wedged into a secure power box."

"Oh, it didn't get there by itself." Francis says, and takes a sip of the drink. "There was a rather long but narrow hole in the back of its skull, so the BOIs, I mean, I shouldn't be talking to you about this, but they assume this person was murdered. They've been in contact with your manager and others in SRC over the last few days, and last they heard about this case, they believe S'tivan might've something to do with it. After this person was killed, their body was dragged into the fuel pump chamber and smashed into the power box."

"But why?" The lieutenant shrugs.

"No idea." He takes another sip, and smiles. "I really like this one." He adds after a while, and downs the rest in one go.

You have a feeling Francis is going to leave soon.

A) "Nice to hear it. Going to have a nap?"
B) "You seem very into holovids, you've seen a lot?"
C) "I hear all about S'tivan, and I know he was one shady dog, but what else can you tell me about him?"
D) "What do you like, besides holovids?"

"What do you like, besides holovids?" Francis shrugs.

"Shooting, I guess. I take pride in my clean shots. Plus seeing the score counter go higher than others makes me happy, too." He sighs, and then pushes the empty glass towards you.

"But that's on the job, most of the time. I... dunno. I usually spend my free time with holovids, or on work-related stuff."

"And when you're back home?"

"I catch up with my mom. And James', and my old buddies and neighbours. Not much to do otherwise, I'm not that into going out. Sometimes I go to a bar for a drink or two."

"I see. How about a drink, then?" Francis taps the counter briefly before shaking his head.

"Nah, I had my share today. But thanks for the offer." He slides off the seat.

"I will probably catch ya later, I'm sure James will want a drink before we leave." He raises his hand at you. "Cya, Arnold."

"Bye Francis, until later." The lieutenant makes his way to the gate. It opens with a hiss, and he leaves, and the gate closes again.

You finish cleaning up all the glasses, and with a sigh, sit back at the counter.

You wager that James and Francis won't be coming back for at least a few hours.

What to do with the time?

A) Watch some Zirconius, of course!
B) Read some bartending trivia, what else!
C) Keep on droning the bar, who knows what might happen!
