"Do you come around often?"

"Once a week, I would say." Elim responds as Take sips his drink. "If we grab some return cargo then of course we make two trips a week. We haven't been on this outpost before, it being vacant. I guess you got hired recently?"

"At new year's." Take grins to that.

"Great, a new place to rest and recuperate. The bartender on that outpost in orbit of Alpha Questor 3 was getting on my nerves."

"She finds you cute."

"I'm married- WE are married, Elim!"

"You need to learn how to take compliments from outsiders."

"Trust me, compliments from you are enough to make my everyday." At this, Elim smiles but shakes his head.

"Well, as Take said, we might drop every so often." Take downs the remainder of his drink, and pushes the cocktail glass towards you - you quickly put it in the washer.

A) To Take: "What's next on your breakfast menu?"
B) To Take: "How was your sleep?"
C) To both: "I've heard about Alpha Questor several times now, where is it?"
D) To Elim: "Can you tell me about other android models?"
E) To Elim: "Are all androids avid lovers of puns and linguistic jokes?"
F) Oh look, the counter is a bit dirty, time to clean!

"What's next on your breakfast menu?"

"Not much else... but I fancy some-" Take takes a look at Elim, the android staring back intensely.

"...a Jovian Sunspot." You grab a new glass and mix the synthols according to the recipe. Once the mix settles on deep and bright orange color, you push the glass to Take. He licks his lips in anticipation, then fishes his credchip out for you once more. (+105c)

Today Earnings: 936c
Monthly Earnings: 8767.5c

He takes a big gulp of the alcoholic mix as if it were water. Elim watches his husband, but says nothing, and Take seems happy to occupy himself with the new drink.

"I've heard about Alpha Questor several times now, where is it?"

"Alpha Questor is three jumps away. Eta Coridani, on the way to there, boasts the argest civilian urban colony, but Alpha Questor is where the corporations and traders have their hubs and towers. Alpha Questor 3 is the planetside colony and the main hub of Galactic Exchange in this sector. Fractalis Fortress looms around Alpha Questor 2's third moon. Busy place."

"Sounds like I should be getting much more traffic then, no?" Take sips on his drink, then mm's at you.

"No, going through here takes longer, right Elim?"

"Yes. Going through Beta Carotenii in most cases necessities one jump more than going in straight line from Poseidonis, or Zanzibar itself, to Alpha Questor - or Eta Coridani, for that matter." Take nods along, taking another sip of his mix, half of it gone already.

"Gimme a moment babe, I will finish this off and we can go." Take explains to Elim's happy nod.

It seems your patrons might have time for one or two more questions?

A) To Take: "How was your sleep?"
B) To both: "Fascinating. What else can you tell me about my neighbourhood?"
C) To Elim: "Can you tell me about other android models?"
D) To Elim: "Are all androids avid lovers of puns and linguistic jokes?"
E) To both: "Thanks for visiting, please come again."

"Thanks for visiting, please come again."

"We will try." Elim responds as Take drinks the remainder of Jovion Sunspot rather quickly, licking his lips afterwards.

"No promises though! Although I do like fast service in here..." Take's voice trails off as he watches Elim whirl on his seat and then catapult himself towards the gate in a walking posture.

"Take care, barkeep." The android waves to you. Take puts the glass on the counter near you and hops off his seat as well, but in less gracious way.

"Until next time." He quickly jogs after Elim, who's already close enough to the gate for the sensors to pick his approach. With the hiss, the gate opens - they walk through - and the gate closes.

You clean after Take's 'breakfast'.

You sit at the bar, all alone.

Now what?

A) Zirconius!
B) Trivia!
C) Idling!
D) Something??

Not having anything better to do, you load up Zirconius.

1236USY.10d/1m.1021h

The date is 666 United Space Year. Zirconius and Dr.Syarkova on board Hyperion-3 debate the silence from the holovid chip for a while. In the same time, Yarna Collins and Chester-Beta42 return to the ship, and join the rest of the officers to discuss their talk with Gopneek. Involvement of Gerard Hoekbaer is brought to light, something which Dr.Syarkova protests - he is her cousin twice-removed, and she knows that he was always an ardent supporter of the democratic ideals.
Meanwhile, during a meeting with his computer specialists, Ruolf Gopneek is killed by an explosion - later the local media channels report his death from 'plasma conduit accident' that took out most of his penthouse in the process, along with many of his associates. Zirconius and Collins watch the news with grim expressions.

A security ping makes you pause the holodrama and check the console.

Ah, Elim and Take's Or has departed for Madagascar Jump Gate. Good for them.

You resume your watching of Zirconius.

Zirconius and Collins watch the news with grim expressions.
Zirconius and Collins then discuss the supposed involvement of Gerard Hoekbaer amongst themselves, Collins being almost convinced he took part in this, while Zirconius is against. He pressures Collins to not include the name in the report, but in return Collins wants to take Hyperion-3 to another place, where the suspected functionary currently lives.
Soon the police corvette takes off after Zirconius plots a new course - for the Delta Quarius system and the local urban colony of New Hooktown. During the voyage, Milan Milan, who was promoted to the new chief of communications, notices a blip on the radar which disappears soon afterwards. Mulling over whether to report this to Zirconius or not, he gives up on the idea after lengthy internal monologue about it.
In space, at the distance equal to the edge of Hyperion-3's sensor range, a small battlecraft tails the police corvette. A rugged, scarred and one-eyed woman in blacksuit watches the police corvette on her targeting display.

Thus ends Chapter 14.

A) One more episode please!
B) Time for some trivia.
C) Let's spend time doing nothing!
D) Is there nothing else to do on this outpost?
