It's time for another episode of your beloved, thrilling, high-quality, Zirconiuuuuuus!

1236USY.10d/1m.0454h

The date is 666 United Space Year. Yarna Collins relays the password, and so she and Chester-Beta42 are escorted by Ruolf Gopneek's enforcers to his living room-slash-office. He offers Collins a glass of Aldebaran Whiskey, but is rejected. He pours himself some and starts a polite, but heavy-handed conversation about the death of Collins' uncle. While this works to set Collins' nerves aflame, Chester-Beta42 skillfully navigates the conversational pitfalls and calms her down, then helps keep the conversation focused.
After much prompting and back-and-forth discussion about the Federation and its politicians and political atmosphere, Ruolf Gopneek finally relents and agrees to give her the name of the person who ordered the attack - Collins and Chester are not very enthusiastic to hear that its Gerard Hoekbaer, a minor but recognizable functionary in Ministry of Federal Treasury, but when Gopneek relates that he has ties to a fringe political group, the Centaurians, Collins pays attention. Few moments later, she decides to hand over the security record chip to Ruolf Gopneek. He laughs, thanks them for their cooperation, and let's them go without further ado.
Collins and Chester-Beta42 arrive back at Hyperion-3 and are immediately approached by Dr.Syarkova and Zirconius, the former keeping an eye on the transmissions from within the penthouse and the latter tells Collins that the chip contains a spyware that will scan Gopneek's personal communications' logs. Collins is furious that this was done without her consent, but Zirconius is sure that this will get them more information than Gopneek would ever offer.
At the penthouse, Ruolf Gopneek looks the chip over, mulling whether to view the data on his personal console, when an incoming call lights the console up. Crime Princess Marianna questions him about the meeting, and, hearing about the holovid chip, orders him to destroy it immediately. Gopneek protests that the chip should be viewed to see if the evidence is genuine, but Marianna threatens him with an 'unfortunate accident' if he endangers Centaurian plans. The call ends, and Gopneek, after hiding the chip in one of the drawers of his desk, rushes out of his office to get his computer specialists to his apartment. Shortly after he leaves, the wall near the window shimmers and a tall woman dressed in a cloak-equipped blacksuit searches the room for the holovid chip. After finding it, she melts it down with a laser tool, activates something on her uniform, and vanishes.

Thus ends Chapter 13.

Peeking at the security console, you see that both ships are still docked at their ports.

A) One more! One more!
B) Time for some trivia!
C) I'm gonna take it easy!

You connect with the bartending net to check for trivia articles.

1236USY.10d/1m.0510h

You fail to find anything interesting for a while when suddenly the main gate opens.

Maria walks back in, and makes her way to the counter, which you quickly drone.

"Hey Arnold." She says, sitting down on the same stool as before.

"Hello again, Maria."

"I said I will drop by before I leave, so. Here I am." She explains, with a small smile.

A) "Thank you, I wish you a safe trip 'out there'."
B) "Want a farewell drink or two?"
C) "Wanna chat a little before you go?"

"Wanna chat a little before you go?"

"Oh, why not." She smiles, tapping her fingers at the counter for about two seconds, before stopping.

"No, you talk. Tell me your stories. Anything else happen, besides the rock finding?"

A) (insert an interesting story that happened between Maria's previous arrival and current, excepting today's maintenance and Pebblo's discovery.)
B) "Uhhh... sorry, nothing comes to mind."

A1 - Tell her about the Ticardian Colony diplomats, and Mr O'ort. The context might be of interest to her too.

"Ever heard of Ticardian Colony?" Maria purses her lips in thought, but only briefly.

"Not at all, why?"

"A delegation of diplomats from said colony made a stop at my outpost. They were en route to negotiate inclusion of their homeworld and its outposts into the Federation. It was once part of the Federation, before the collapse, they've told me, and their people want back in." Maria smacks her lips.

"That story I've heard several times already. Not everyone is on board with that, but, Federation provides social and military security. It's worth paying a tax and/or abandoning some of your cultural priviledges the Federal government deems backways or authoritarian, really..."

"So after this delegation got its drinks, they've slipped a name that triggered something... in me. I blacked out." Maria blinks, first in confusion, then in an eyebrow-furrowing concern.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, now, I am perfectly fine. I think. But they've mentioned Mr.O'ot, who was part of the commanding crew of a place that I served at." You reach to rub your temples as a headache ping-ponges between your ears, very briefly.

"Oh, did you have a chance to meet him?"

"No. My wetware processor shut down itself and me, and I fainted." Maria looks even more concerned about you.

"I don't think you are alright, Arnold. I think you should find a neurologist, or perhaps, a cyberneticist."

"My onboard medical equipment told me the same." Maria purses her lips.

"Well, and you're not going?" You reply to Maria is a vague handwave at the replicator. "Ah, I see, work."

"Yes, I'm quite grounded, as humans would say it." Maria looks at you, thinking briefly.

"Hey, would you like me to point a doctor in your direction? The Geis and the Pathers have some wandering medics-preachers. If you don't mind a bit of religious babbling on the side about a spooky Dragon or Path-Ways, they could give you or your chip a look. Maybe even for free, who knows?"

A) "A Dragon-affiliated doctor would be okay, sure."
B) "A Path-Ways-affiliated doctor would be okay, sure."
C) "I would rather prefer you find me a non-religious medic, really."
D) "I don't think I can afford any medical visitations right now, I'm sorry to say it."
