Bartending trivia, you reckon, is the good idea of the moment.

Fungus Malus, as it is, has been once an organic alcohol. Apparently, if the story is correct (as its been over four hundred years), it was first brewed from potent hallucinogenic mushrooms found on the surface of Beta Dromedarii VI, and has been known to induce powerful 'trips' that sometimes lasted for over twenty-four hours. The chemical formula of the mushroom's oil was first synthetized in 1093 by nowadays unknown chemist, which helped preserve the brew even when ecological damage to the small homeworld of the shroom caused its rapid extinction. Synthol Refueling Conglomerate bought exclusive rights to synthesis of the oily substance after modifying its formula to remove the hallucinogetic properties, leaving inebriation potency intact. The formula editation unfortunately caused the shift of flavor from a spicy, sour one to a more bitter one, something that synthol 'purists' consider a real tragedy.

A) Another article could be just as interesting as this one!
B) Time for a change of topic - load up Zirconius series!
C) Some slow time doing some stargazing won't hurt.
D) Could Vaness and Arma enjoy a little visit? Won't know until I do!

You go back to the quarters and load up next episode of Zirconius, a second today. Are the series growing on you, you don't know.

You skip the theme song because it's getting on your nerves, that's for sure.

1236USY.8d/1m.1700h

The date is 666 United Space Year. Yarna Colins, Hiro Zirconius' ex-fiancee, begins reminiscing about her failed engagement to the Captain, back when he was a Cadet. A night of passion, which started in a nightclub full of smoke and cheap alcohol and ended in an offline sleep pod; a week of dating, including a quick trip of Pacifica Resort Planet, a month of deliberation, up to and including talking about having kids and buying a planetside apartment - all coming crashing down because of a big fight they had over finances and their respective careers. While Zirconius is amenable to try again, Colins shoots him down, and he shrugs, mentioning that he expected it of her.
Past quickly revealed and tossed aside, Zirconius then demands to know if Yarna's appointment has to do something with Marga Trellis' death few days earlier, and Colins confirms that; she is investigations officer doing work on the Crime Baron Costello and his probable ties to some politicians that are being covertly investigated for corrutpion and crime dealings. She informs him that crucial piece of possible evidence was lately destroyed and becasue his ship delivered it, she decided to tag along. Zirconius asks if it was Esmeralda's Comms Core that got destroyed and Colins confirms it - a plasma discharge from the cargo hold power conduit fried its memory banks. Zirconius mulls over the fact that he hasn't heard any of this, and mentions that his ship has copies of the memory banks. He decides to team up with Colins, and welcomes her aboard Hyperion-3.
The next morning, Zirconius receives his orders - he is put off the patrol schedule and is to accompany Yarna on her investigation job, lending the firepower of Hyperion-3 to her. Next stop: Gamma Utena Spaceport, Centauri Sector, home to the rising political instability and democratic backsliding.

Thus ends Chapter 9.

A) Bartending trivia will be better than this.
B) Another episode. They can't have any more office-talking episodes like this lined up, right? Right??
C) This actually got me in the mood for a nap!
