Wearing armor mostly hidden under fine cloth and an expensive beret, Rodolfo arrived quite obliviously at the scene riding his mare Bellezza, whose mane and coat shone from a recent brushing. It didn't take long for the rider to realize what was going on, if only because it was a rare opportunity for heroics.

"Oh, oh, I say! This is absurd! Ahoy Bella! Oh my fellow guards! Worry not for RODOLFUCCIO ARRIVES!!!" his full-throated cry was simultaneous with a reckless charge at the closest enemy, who might have been wielding an ax but would surely be felled by such a gallant charge.
