Summon what you feel like summoning. Just putting things I want to process where the hivemind can see it. *Shrug*

I always thought Nicholo Machiavelli was what you got when you imagined a weasel as a person
BTW, he is misunderstood. It is commonly said that he believed that a ruler should be feared rather than loved, but he actually said that a ruler should be feared and loved.

He didn't even write "better", from the N.H. Thomson translation:
Quote
It might perhaps be answered that we should wish to be both; but since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved.
And the W. K. Marriott on Project Gutenberg
Quote
It may be answered that one should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved, when, of the two, either must be dispensed with.
Found an Italian version (PDF)
Quote
Rispondesi che si vorrebbe essere l'uno e l'altro: ma perchè egli è difficile accozzarli insieme, è molto più sicuro l' esser temuto, che amato, quando s' abbia a mancare dell' uno de' due.

You misunderstand me; I am not making a moral judgement of his character, I am aware that he has suffered centuries of slander and have read the Prince. Despite accusations that he advocated for amoral ruthlessness, he only ever advocated for making the best of a situation. He was so morally astute that when investigated for corruption he was given a rebate because he had overpaid his taxes

When I say he is like a weasel I mean he literally looks like a weasel in human form
