Agreed, with some distance it doesn't quite work. I also don't quite like Head to Head.

As for the original movie: he should fight himself quite often.

Thought-terminating cliches should be just terminators - with signs on thier chest saying "Not my problem" or "Pussy".  Sometimes he uses them, sometimes he fights them.

Neo energy has to be part of this guy, not actually Keanu Reeves though, something more like Malcolm Reynolds.

Badass though, and not the cliche thinker. More of a straight badass asian guy then a "rogue".
