I'm actually unclear on which part of The Toad scripture states that pyramids displease The Toad....

It’s lost somewhere on the forum, but there was at least one person who desired to see how great a pyramid could be created, and the Toad discouraged such misguided endeavours.

It was Naturegirl, the Bay12's [HOSPITALITY] elemental. Her folly shall be a lesson to us all.

I’ve been having trouble finding any original information that points to a basis for disallowing quote pyramids (among other things, I scoured the SMF forums).  All of the posts that I’ve seen provide second hand information, and most are several years old.  If the problem was that the forum software couldn’t handle it, is that still true today?  Likewise, if the problem was that browsers couldn’t handle it, are they still unable to do so? Can anyone point me to any original and authoritative information concerning problems caused by quote pyramids?  I’m just curious.
