MFW I try to sneak across the last non-capital Neifelheim territory and discover they boosted the PD up to 100.

They also seem to have gone AI, in sequence. Though I only realized it now.

Considering they've had a 70-90 unrest half-capital for the last several turns, Misfortune 1, and that Niefelheim's financial situation was pitched through the war, someone has been financing him -heavily-.

Or they are luck incarnate.

Now consider it is a random province with no actual use.

Niefelheim briefly broke through the siege on his capital, due to a mix of fortune (lammashtas extraordinarily routed my casters early in the battle), Avenger (a 300 hp, high SR, Heroic Tougness Niefel Jarl Prophet in Dominion 10/Cold 3 with a Sword of Quickness), over 100 gems being burnt in questionable summons, and me being negligent with the siege, not wanting to leave too many mages parked there, since I had it under high unrest lockdown and the Irminsul would need specialized tools to kill if it had the right spell set (20 prot, 500 hp, 20% regeneration, and slash/piercing/blunt resistance is no joke, though I now know Niefelheim did not have most of the spells necessary).

Niefelheim had a single turn of recruiting window, during which it split to take two provinces. I then took the capital back the very next turn and destroyed the majority of their forces in the magic phase. Then they did a turn, apparently PD dumped 100 PD on the province their last 17 units were standing, recruited mercenaries, and went AI.

Whoever gave them all that money, if someone did, gave all that money to someone unable to even use it, which is the more hilarious part.

Excellent effort, ThtblovesDF! I think it's fair to say most people would have gone AI long ago, but you kept up a good fight against overwhelming odds.

There is also a random event the boosts PD.  In the last game, I think I had 40 PD from that event in one province, and 20 PD in a couple others. I think I only purchased like the first 5. Less provinces means that random event is more likely to stack in one province (I had 20 or so provinces for most of the last game).

I'd wager most of that PD was due to that event. I don't think there is a limit to the PD those events can generate (there is more than one event).

EDIT: Maybe that Province had a Knightly Order? That site apparently spams PD boosting events.

Well, if someone takes it they can view the province history (hotkey [ i]) and settle the question.

I can, indeed, confirm they'd held it for a single turn.

Hey everyone. I have sent in my turn 41; but I don't think I will have the time to do 42 until August 28th.

We should be fine for half a dozen turns or more before those absences.

I admittedly misread the absences, but this seems overly optimistic.  But hey, good luck people pushing through turns that aren't me!

In the end, we managed just over a dozen!

Yes, the pace was good. And no stalls (stales? what's that word actually supposed to be? I never know).

I'll pause the game on the resolution of this turn until the end of the month.

Stale turns, as in stale bread - there were no new instructions for the nation submitted, so the server had to proceed with the old instructions which were no longer particularly good. Llamaserver could use them to make French turns, but that only really works for Caelum, Nazca, Rhaga, or C'tis, and even then they need to have some goats, buffalo, or cave cows available.

I thought it might have been stalling, as in a stalled engine, or a stalled plane. An interrupted flow. (but I guess the admin page does say 'staling', not 'stalling', which I've only now noticed)
