I am deeply offended at your calling my drama stale. Bah, I say. Bah!

Here, have a painting of Dread Pirate Fatbeard's ironizing of Niefelheim's "Get flanked traitor", then:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...let me guess, Niefelheim still won.

No; he got lucky with the random variable in chassis value for army movement collision. But the variable was accounted for and he got wrecked.

It is your turn to have a deeply frustrating and unsatisfying game experience, ThtblovesDF. I sincerely hope you have as much fun as I did, as you watch everything collapse around you and crisis emerge at every corner, without being able to commit to a fight without getting annihilated.

I, for one, will profoundly enjoy it, after you having put me through the same.

Sounds like regular Dominions experience, tbh.

You have a point.

But I do think it feels worse during the expansion phase, both due to the major opportunity cost attached and due to balance being way wonkier depending on nation and pretender design.

And it is magnified for capital-centric nations, in the sense that major losses tend to be more enduring.

Huh, attacks from stealth in the same province do not precede movement? I thought i'd kill Mictlan's god with that.  :-\ Not that it would do much, turns out.

Rest of the sigs
The helicopter is rent apart by the collision, its steel unable to resist its inevitable reunion with the ground, and the meat within is smashed by the crumpling cockpit beyond any practical hope of recovery. What comes up, must come down again. Ore and ape, returned to mother planet's embrace.

Not unless there is a magic phase attack on that province as well. If there is, they'll join in on the magic phase, if not, they'll attack in the normal battle phase.

It is mostly relevant for cloud trapezing elves who have both magic phase movement and stealthy units. Of course, with the Umbar line of nations basically having size 3 elves and being air heavy (...) did you get to use that recently when playing Na'ba?

No. I didn't make very large use of the Desert Warriors or camel riders. I primary recruited 'Adite Archers for fighting on land and 'Adite Elite Soldiers for fighting under water. Personally I've found that the camel riders are expensive, although the birds are useful they are still 22 gold for a Composite Bow on a human... Compared to 25 gold for a great bow on an Adite with 18 prot armor it was hard to really justify the expense of camel riders much that game. And desert warriors are okay for their price, but fragile and difficult to use since they are undisciplined. So ultimately I didn't have very many stealth units moving around. And I didn't recruit a single Jann Guard lol :P. They are just very expensive for what they are and I didn't have a bless for them.

It might have been that I didn't really have much of any conventional land war to put into place such tactics as well. I wouldn't be comfortable sending stealthy units underwater (too expensive for the reward) and against C'tis it was more of a smash and grab. Maybe if the game wasn't called early and I got into a war with Phlegra we might have had a chance to see the mechanic in action? I did end up having a bunch of stealth mages in west Mictlan waiting to kill his tyrants once that war popped off so might have happened.

I sometimes get the urge to copy-paste that message-event you sometimes get when Ind is in the game - where you receive a free priest - and send it to all players. They would then spend precious time of their limited human existence looking everywhere for the unit and checking the fora in confusion. While I cackle in the dark, wallowing in my low-brow cleverness.

e:fucken typos and shit

Or....you could send that message to ONE player. Then deny you sent it.

I feel like it coming as a message from Il Palazzos nation instead of an event is fairly likely to make it clear what's up.

The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Scabiel the Maker of Ruins. Ascension is now easier.
The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Agon the Eater of Dreams. Ascension is now easier.
The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Umor the Eater of Gods. Ascension is now easier.
The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Hruvur the Abomination of Desolation. Ascension is now easier.
The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Rarku the Hunter of Heroes. Ascension is now easier.
The Throne of Noun has been destroyed by Kurgi the Slave to Unreason. Ascension is now easier.
Despair! The world has fallen!

What did you think I was calling terrible player distribution? For most players to be horribly bottlenecked and under the province count, a few players had to end up with a proportionally larger space for expansion.
