Start with a rich family.
Give them a son.
Let them spoil him rotten through adulthood.

Should be awful enough.  But maybe he'll buck all that and still be decent?

Ok, I crafted a bad guy out of sandy clay and animated him with faerie dust. He walked away and started doing bad things.
