300 AC, Winter

As a chilling wind blows through the city, you enjoy a quiet and cosy moment with Aktina on one of those costly sofas coming from the far south.
The chief diplomat interrupts this private moment and directly speak to you, seemingly oblivious to your wife.

"My Tyrant, we may have found a worthy candidate."

Before you can say anything, he continues.

"The daughter of the lord of Tell Anak, in the north. A maiden in all regards, with her father seeking an alliance through the marriage. Only one downside, however. They are Namorrians."

You scratch your chin. Wedding her would make a fine political alliance. Yet, nobody could tell how your people and other neighbors would react if you marry one of the people who invade the region and destroyed the Kalkan Empire. Would they be angry? Would they approve? Would they care at all...

Your thoughts are cut off by a bump from Aktina’s elbow.

"Are you searching a spouse for our son?" she asks with a spark in her eyes.

Your chief diplomat suddenly freezes, realizing his mistake.

I mean when the Namorrians last conquered a place at the start of this no one really seemed to care and the Kalkans based off what has been written so far seemed to have done nothing but exploit our area for pretty much all its resources and mostly leaving it in neglect so I have a feeling no one really gives a damn if they are Namorrians or not. (unless rng says they do)

It’s been a year since you’ve become the Tyrant of Gedur. And not even any assassination attempt yet!
As you install yourself in your throne, you nearly jump, as if you were stung by it.

While you’re asking whose the prankster who finds funny to tag regal property, your guards swear their great gods they didn’t see anyone creeping inside the throne room. Grumbling, you come back to your throne. You can’t help but notice the population problem is improving, as your rule is solidifying

Joyous news! Aktina is pregnant!
This will be your third children, and the first of Kutaz to be born as a relative to a Tyrant of Gedur. Birth is to be expected in autumn.

301 AC, Summer

A delegation of priests from the city asks an audience.

"Honorable Tyrant, it’s been a year since your appointment, but you still did not choose the god-patron for your reign. The gods may get angry should you not do it, has it would be a mark of hubris."

Ah, yes. Traditions require to place yourself as the vizir of one of the pantheon’s gods, thus placing yourself under its protection for all divine matters.
Although you have plenty of gods and spirits to put your faith into, only a handful are considered powerful enough to ask tutelage.
