Maria was speechless for a moment at what Lulu had said, specifically about her way of talking, before resuming her train of thoughts.

"My apologies, I had..thought that someone of your standing was a mage like myself. Perhaps it was wrong of me to assume you attended such faculties."

The dark mage thought about the current situation for a while, then again, she did indeed never ask where Lulu was from after all...

"If I may inquire such a question, where exactly are you from, if not from a prodigious line of spellcasters? You dress up as one, and I was almost certain that Sir Dunas had hired you for this exact purpose. Do not worry about this secret ever getting to him, I'll keep this between us if you do not wish for me to tell him otherwise"

"You're fiiiiine!~ I suppose my get up does sorta speak mage in a way." She does a little twirl in place, spins her cane a bit before striking a pose.

"WEEEEELL! If you must know I..." pause for dramatic affect, "Have no idea where I hail from and what my bloodline is! I don't really remember my parents or even my family name and honestly, I don't really care to look into it! I mean, seeing as how they left me in some random city to fend for myself as a kid, they'd probably push me away if I did find 'em. In a worst case maaaaaybe kill me if I happen to be of noble blood and there's a fight for inheritance." Lulu had said all that in her usual happy and carefree demeanor and follows with a shrug, "As for why Lord Dunas hired me? Ehhh, I have a certain set of underhanded skills that I use that not many people have that have prove useful for... gathering new equipment.~"

"Buuuuut, what about you? How was your magey school like? Probably boring with a lot of reading and work right?"

"Oh, don't be like that, Dunas! I'll make stew to whoever I please. Plus, I know you very well. He's not 'just' a retainer for you, no one in your retinue is."

"Oh woooow, Lord Dunas! You think of us as more than just retainers? Playing very risky there with most of us being girls you know.~" The magician chuckles peeking out from behind Rork. She had decided to tag along with Lord Dunas since she didn't really care for the festivities or the nobility or the fancy way one must present themselves here. (Lulu, still in her performance outfit since this is the most formal thing she has with her. Not that she could afford many dresses.)

"Hiii!~ I'm Lulu! Lord Dunas' favorite and trying not to cause much trouble so I can raid the dessert table later!~" She says with no shame and waving energetically towards the two, still just peeking out from behind Rork

Eiriol spent most of her time staring out of a window trying to spot any interesting things outside of the castle(she is definitely not a big fan of being in a big stuff place). Though she did give acknowledgement to the Princess when she arrived though anyone watching could tell it Eiriol was only half paying attention to things as her eyes where still watching out a window.

"I don't see why not, she is a princess whatever she is selling is probably useful to have."

Artair sits back down from her own curtsy.

"I cannot guess what she is thinking, but perhaps a warning... And who else she has told."

... So many gathered, and the Fire Emblem away from the Castle. One can only hope such does not come to pass. Politics swirl as many gather for the banquet, and their words will be as sharp as any blade. While there are primary lordships allied, others circle on the outskirts.

"Hopefully things stay peaceful. It is not as if I will stop supporting Sir Dunas."

Rork shrugs, looking very tempted by the idea of a good stew, but he eventually schools himself into being stern as a granite cliff face once more. "Caused enough trouble for Lord Dunas. I'll keep my peace for the moment, Lady Wymera." Rork adds that title out of respect for someone who came through the Crusades, rather than any indication of nobility.

Emilia, who has stayed with Rhian, ponders the message briefly.

"I would not put too much stock in omens from the stars, but it does bear keeping in mind."

Maria came out from her place in the background and came to join in on the conversation Sir Dunas was having. She was still a bit self conscious when it came down to trying to represent someone. No one here knew who she was back in the day, so there wasn't the weight of embarrassing her House and Family on her shoulders. Still, dressed in a Crimson Red Dress, wearing a golden locket which had the motif of a rose engraved into it, she tried her best to look dressed for the occasion and put her knowledge of such courtly matters to good use.

"Lulu, please. Don't embarrass Sir Dunas in front of the duke and, more importantly, his mother." Maria wanted to sound scolding, but couldn't stop herself from smiling a bit at the antics of the magnificent Magician.

Now, upon entering the conversation properly, Maria did a curtsy to show respect to the nobleman and seamstress respectively.

"Pardon my Manners, my name is Maria Rotgold. I am one of the Mages under Sir Dunas Entourage."

The duke adresses a sighing and slightly-distressed Dunas after the little escapade involving Lulu.
"What an extraordinary young lady you have accompanying you. I am sure dullness is an issue you life won't have with her in your retinue, hah! And no offense taken, Miss Rotgold. Greetings to you as well."
"An astute observation, Your Grace..."

Wymera herself couldn't help but let out a short-lived bellow of a laughter.
"Oh, Lulu, you're a riot. My boy's too honest-minded to allow deviant thoughts guiding his actions."
She then gave Rork another clap on the shoulder.
"Now I'll simply have you eat my stew just because you call me a lady, Rork! Plus, if you're a real troublemaker, you wouldn't be here in the first place."

As the light-spirited banter continues, someone suddenly mingles alongside the group. It takes a moment to realize he doesn't initially belong.
"My liege, you are expected."
"Oh, right, thank you, Dulosta. It was a pleasant meeting, everyone, but I have to bid farewell for now. We shall see each other at the banquet, Sir Dunas plus retinue. Wymera, I fear this will be too busy an evening to come into contact again... May we meet again soon, for the sake of the old days' glory."
"I will look forward to it, Your Grace."

Wymera curtsies and both the duke and his knight leave down the hallway.

"... Guess you all can relax properly now. I may have been a Crusader, but now I'm just a simple woman. No need to pay me tribute."

The doors of the guest hall fly open once more. This time, instead of an important host, it was a group of important guests. The two duchesses, one in a pleasant dress, the other in ornamental armor, flanked by Lady Vigrid and all three being the vanguard for a blonde noble that most of you don't recognize. With one notable exception, that is...

[Now Playing: Tear Ring Saga - Summon Your Courage]

"Oh my, quite the number of visitors already here. That must mean... Ah! I know! The vanquishers of that rotten man! In other words, the guests of honor accompanying Sir Dunas! How delightful, you honor me with your presence."
"Lady Marigold, you're being too kind to them. Their feat is acknowledged by me, but to go out of your way like that..."
"Ahaha... What can I say, Lady Eleshyn? Such courageous and brave people deserve the upcoming feast."
"... Surely they do, Your Grace..."

The Duchess of Angbar then eyes Emilia closer.

"That posture... That aura of eminence..."
"Wait! That trinket on her waist, how did I not notice sooner? Milady, please excuse my rudeness and my foolishness for not noticing sooner!"

The Duchess of Felworn falls on her knees, giving a better view on the blonde noble who is now approaching Emilia.
"You have recognized her correctly, Your Grace. My heart feels lighter knowing you have safely arrived at Castle Lornen, my dearest sister."
He offers a light bow to the remaining members of your group.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Patrice Ragnvald, Count Palatine of Phaelan, formal leader of the Maiden Warriors and head of the Ragnvald family. Pleased to make your acquaintances."
"Oh, how foolish of me. I am Duchess Marigold of Angbar. These are Duchess Eleshyn of Felworn and her trusted knight, Lady Vigrid."
"We met each other already, after the Battle for Caranbough Hills, Your Grace."
"Oh my! Foolish me, I should have guessed that much..."

Eleshyn remains kneeled, compelled by her former training as a Maiden Warrior. The two servants couldn't help but find the overall situation amusing, albeit their exterior remains professional. The younger one has one corner of his mouth slightly wrinkled upwards though.

Rhian's glare at Eleshyn was nearly audible, even with her quickly hiding it via her curtsy.

"We're honored to meet you," she said, forcing a smooth tone. She glanced at Emilia after completing her gesture, wondering how she planned on addressing her relative.

Rork simply shrugs at Wymera. "You're milord's mother. You'll always be a Lady of standing to me." He says simply, and then he turns his attention to the tag along. He does a quick side step and places a hand down to prevent Lulu from escaping much of anywhere. He grumbles out another stern message for the little thief. "Mind yourself, Lulu. Trying to hide makes it look like you have something to hide."

Emilia returns the curtsey with a bow; the Maiden Warriors carried themselves with more militant conduct, befitting their roles as soldiers and peacekeepers.

"You may stand, Lady Eleshyn. Among Maiden Warriors, there are only equals."

She notes Rhian's glare.

"My companions are worth as much respect. The Maiden Warriors are a sisterhood, after all; we could not weather the war without the help of others."

If she intends any insult, her tone hides it, being as smooth and airy as Emilia's voice normally is. She turns to her brother, a small smile on her face. She bows to him too; the complexities of the hierarchy between her and her brother due to the matriarchy of their homeland, Emilia's status and his status, this was probably the most neutral she could get.

"Brother mine, it is a pleasure to see you again. Please, excuse my companions; they are not as accustomed as I to noble functions. This is Rhian; I have taken her under my wing and begun training her in our ways. I would trust her with my life."

Eiriol puffed her checks at Emilia's comment

"Hey I know how to act at fancy people parties grandpa hired plenty of people to teach me." Eiriol said though didn't take any action to back up her claims.

Artair also cursies after Emillia is done speaking.
"Likewise. I am Artair Brandt, your Lordship, your Grace. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Emillia's situation seems complex. Who's Eiriol's grandfather though that would teach her?

"Miss Emillia speaks true, twas a joint effort that we felled that man. He had not a speck of honor within for even his own group."

As much as Rork deserves credit for the final blow, I doubt he would want the attention...

Eiriol continued to puff her cheeks as she turned to the fancy people which fell away to a gentle smile as she them a very well trained curtsy making Eiriol look the very model of a noble lady. Though said illusion vanished a bit as she spoke

"Greetings Lord and Ladies, I'm Eiriol Myrick bonker of bad guys and Avenger of homewrecked squirrels. The last bits are the important ones." she said cheerfully.

"I'm not TRYING to hide Rork! You're just really big so walking behind you is just natural cover!~" The magician shrugs, "Besides, I'm really not up to something this time! I have a dessert table to raid later and THAT takes top priority!" Once again, no shame whatsoever.

Wymera shows a gentle smile in response.

"I can see that my son is in capable hands. Even if some of them love to get sticky with sugary delights."

A castle guard approaches the small gathering, informing that the festivities are about to begin.

"Ah well. Took enough of your time, you should enjoy the feast. Don't get too stuffed if you wanna enjoy the banquet afterwards, Lulu. And I know that there must be more people following you, my son, I'd love to meet them too. A shame it will not happen tonight, with all of us being busy."
"I wish I could enjoy the feast like you..."

Wymera says her goodbye and moves through a door, the castle guard escorting you to the main hall.

Duchess Eleshyn raises and stands firm and collected.
"Allow me to rephrase my words and to offer an apology, Milady, fellowship of Sir Dunas. I did not intend to slight you or belittle your achievement. However, Her Grace has a penchant for giving the highest praise to the smallest of deeds. I merely intended to introduce a balanced perspective."
"Oh my, did I really overdo it, Eleshyn? They did wonderful work for the safety of the commoners both Dunlandic and outside, so I thought..."
"... On second consideration, my worries were unfounded, Your Grace. The presence of the entire group who has slain one of the vilest criminals of this generation honors me as well."
Their personalities might be day and night, but it is clear that the friendship between these two strengthens each other.

"You always had an eye for talent, dearest sister. Greetings to you, Rhian. As one of Lady Emilia's chosen, it is my promise to you that you will be provided food and board within my realm when requested. I hope to hear even more great deeds from you in the future."
Upon hearing Eiriol's introduction, Patrice places his thumb and index finger against his chin in contemplation.
"Myrick, you say... ... By chance, any relation to...?"

As Patrice was about to state his thought, a castle guard enters the room and annouces the beginning of the festivities, offering to escort everyone currently here.

"I guess that will have to wait. It would be rude to let the king wait longer than necessary."
"It's been so long since we had such a large gathering AND an emblem ceremony, so exciting!"
"... I wonder whom His Majesty will choose for the ceremony though."

The two parts of Dunas' group merge back at the banquet. Many moving servants, a lot of chatter between the aristocrats and a long table reserved for you specifically, somewhat off-center but close to where the royal family will dine.
Speaking of, it wasn't long before their arrival is announced. King Greoger Alfalm, Queen Ulen Alfalm, Crown Prince Arnston Alfalm and Princess Eleya Alfalm, flanked by elite guards led by Orlsen. With their arrival, the chatter makes way for silence as everybody takes their seat.
King Alfalm stands and raises his chalice.
"It is with pleasure that I welcome you all here on this joyous day. I shall remind you of today's protocol now: With the end of my speech, we will begin the feast in honor of Sir Dunas and his retinue, who not only had a decisive part in ending the four-year long war, but also exceeded my expectations with the death of Ghal, leader of the blight known as Ghal's Marauders. Their service to crown, country and continent are exemplary."
The king points the chalice in Dunas' direction, and the rest of the royal family plus their guests follow suit with similar gestures and a collective chant. The lord remains composed, but cannot escape his cheeks getting flushed a bit.
"When the feast ends, there will be a break, to give you an opportunity to greet the guests of honor personally, if so desired. After said break, the emblem ceremony will be held, followed by the banquet to partake in the grand dessert."
Dunas side-eyes Lulu for a fraction of a second.
"May the Goddess and the Chosen smile upon us all."

Thus, the feast begins, and copious amounts of lavish, luxurious meals were served across three courses. For many of you, that was probably the chance of a lifetime to be served food this extravagant. Did you ever see such large amounts of meat gathered at once before?

A few hours pass and the feast comes to a slow but fulfilling end. It was now time for the break and the King and Queen retreat to a side-room for the moment, possibly in preparation for the ceremony. The royal offsprings, on the other hand, remain. Soon, groups begin to gather...

The Crown Prince is in lighthearted conversation with the two Duchesses. Marigold seems especially delighted at this encounter, to no one's surprise.

Next to Princess Eleya, you spot familiar faces. Rubinelle must be the invited representative of the Clavesh Guild of Archeology.

Sir Jernigan converses with Duke Laspa and Sir Dulosta. The tone is calm, but it seems like something is bothering the leader of the Red Wings...

The Duke of Thavios, Zornac, was in a high-spirited chat with an elder woman. She is probably one of the guests Dunas had named from the list a few days ago, the Marchioness of Ralm.

Lady Vigrid and Sir Thrum silently stand next to each other. Still, it seems like there's an intense atmosphere between the two...

Count Palatine Patrice scurries from guest to guest, ultimatively not sticking too long with any one. He seems to now take a short rest to observe the room.

Ceodor and Noel are accompanying you, but they stick to the background as much as possible. Even during the feast, they didn't eat too much. Still, it seems most guests see the two as part of Dunas' entourage. The advantage of having the reputation of mingling with both nobles and commoners, the former ignore the latter as long as they assume they belong to the knight.

You also see Sir Brenyron, Sverrand's uncle. However, he seems to be in a rather foul mood today, so you collectively decide to not engage him for longer than necessary. If asked about, all he'll say is that his "barely capable" nephew is working hard and doing fine.
You also can't escape the feeling that someone from the guest list Dunas named during his initial announcement a few days ago is missing today.

The break won't last for long, so each player character can interact with two groups at most. Make your choice.
