Surprise Round
Shoot the Gretchen I guess, then take a half action to aim again.
You see your laser beam appear toward the gretchen and just over his left shoulder. Shooting massive Orks was always easier...so long as they weren't running. And also you weren't moving. As long as everyone remained still you could probably maybe hit them.
In response the vile creature points their torch at you and screams "Humies! Humies in da treez!" in a significantly less booming voice than the proppa orks.
"You're going to- ah, bollocks."
NVM retreat quietly to actual cover.
One of the advantages of botching the stealth mission so close to the starting point is that you can successfully run back to the forest and dive behind the trees really easily.
Kannons have Blast like grenades, so
hopefully those things won't fire in your general direction.
(Yeah, gonna run then. It'll be 3 more rounds of consecutive failed stealth checks to cut it to two rounds of running, and I think there will be more orcs at the end of that time.)
Two more turns to get into firebombing range. You're weirdly more quite when running than when you where just trying to take thing slow.
