I don't think this thread will go over well, we used to have a "what made you angry today" thread but it got shut down because people started fights when other people complained about things they thought were good. Differences in political opinion, ethics and morality, political correctness etc. It turned into a constant rolling argument and caused more anger if people aired grievances that weren't "acceptable" to certain others, they'd get raged at and harassed, and it often spilled over into other threads too when the "unwelcome" person posted in other threads they'd get harassed there too.

I'm looking at the social justice warriors. You know who you are.

Hm, how to respond to that?

(I'm actually surprised nobody has complained about the misogynistic overtones of the word "bitching", how it implies complaints by women are invalid whereas "being a bastard" is often a complement)

I think there’s enough old guard around to at least step in and notify the Toad before this goes nuclear, but yeah, rage threads in the past were no bueno.

I don't think I've ever heard 'being a bastard' in a positive light? Usually that's reserved for a, I dunno, a lid or cap that won't open or a stuck screw or something.

Now, if something is bitchin', then it's one of those cool things, much like something that's rad or rockin.' I think Tony Hawk's Underground 2 has an example of its usage this way.

Yeah, I've no interest in using the thread for rage functions. That bridge set sail long ago. A little banter about the word 'bastard,' though? Sure, I'll play ball.

I think we're explicitly forbidden from having rage threads. I just wanted to make my S tier joke :V

Believe it or not, I've heard a hell of a lot fewer uses of "bitch" as a slut over the past 10 years from "nice" men, so I care about it a hell of a lot less :V

Ah, I was specifically curious as to why the verb was not objectionable, thanks for clarifying.

I’ll bitch that Rolan has me playing Heat Signature again when I don’t really have the time or environment for it.

It’s also totally their fault I started a new galaxy as a technophobe and I can’t get past the first god-damn room of my character’s personal mission to kill the offworld security agent that tortured his son.

The Technophobe trait achievement is one of the 3 I'm still missing!  Though I almost exclusively play dailies now.  It's definitely my least favorite daily trait (tied with the shaky-weak-shotgun combo).  I'd recommend grinding for lots of equipment, but that takes time and a good environment ):

I could bitch about Defenders like I always used to, but I'm definitely not angry, they're just way more of a challenge than any other contract IMO hehe.  I guess having an exception to the normal rules of crashing/subversion makes the game more interesting, harrumph.
