Cinnabar Gems And Potch Opal
« on: May 06, 2022, 02:43:49 am »

In real life, cinnabar is not a worthless mineral. Rarely it produces deep red crystals that are far more valuable than fire opal per-carat and good examples of normal cinnabar is often cut into cabochons and sold as fairly expensive semiprecious gems.

"Potch Opal" ( common opal ) is a semiprecious version of opal that comes in many different colors - the main difference is that common opal does not have any fire. Dendrite is an example of common opal that is highly prized.
