The Soul-Paired Pin and Compass's are forged from the shared suffering of two souls, one bound to always seek what was lost, and the other desperate to be found. The compass can be used to locate the pin, pointing in its general direction and becoming more specific the closer to the pin the bearer comes. The pin is made to be little noticed, easy to secrete about a target. It can be used to track a person, or perhaps a rare art piece or artifact.

The pin also spreads a magical plague to those around it, causing sickness and a black hatred of their fellows. The pin subsists off of latent evil energy around it to power the magical plague. As those afflicted by the plague succumb their dark urges, the pin plague only becomes more virulent. The plague doesn't force one to become evil, but it certainly encourages it.

Once reunited, the pin can be housed back in the compass, which contains the plague from spreading. The bearer of the compass is also immune to the magical effect of the plague while approaching it.

Ideal use case is to spread the Soul-Paired Pin and Compass to various authorities which would find a use case in tracking problem characters and dissidents. The Blockaders would certainly be familiar with the use of compasses, while the pin plauge might be especially potent in the close confines of a pirate ship.

Having found these worms in the depths, Nar Carok has gained control of and modified these creatures to suit his forces. In the main, he modified the creatures gullet to be able to carry dozens of the skeletal warriors. Not needing to breathe, they can be carried by the worms to behind enemy fortifications and attack from the rear. Once in place, the worm bursts from the ground and vomits forth its skeletal cargo.

The worm can stay and lash out with its body, but otherwise boasts no other significant combat ability.

STACS is the best option right now, but I’m not completely sold on any other idea so if anyone has a agreement I could be convinced to switch my other vote

Nuke did say we can make something more specialized with STAC, so I want to make something that could be potentially capable of assassination

Soul-Tethered Ancient Creature Summoning

STACS is the method by which the forces of Nar-Carok have learned to temporarily conjure facsimilies of select creatures at will. A group of "explorers" found a previously undiscovered temple similar to those that brought about the Soul Magi, yet oddly different, and clearly much older. Massive stone tablets lined the entrance hall leading to the central chamber, and once translated they unlocked the secrets of STACS. The STACS Tablets instructed on ways to bind creatures to altars which could infuse soul gems with the essence of the creature they contained. Purer soul gems allow for more powerful souls to be infused, with the soul gems gaining a lustrous, reflective quality the more powerful the bound soul is. The process of infusion by the altars also burn a hieroglyph into the soul gem to easily identify what exact creature is tethered to it. Some magic is required to trigger the gem's effect, meaning their use is restricted to casters, and the caster's skill determines both the rarity of STACS they can use and the number of simultaneous summons they can maintain. A creature can be summoned in a position chosen by the caster (ex. face down in defense mode), with maximum distance from the caster being determined by their skill level. Once killed, a summoned creature will be ripped back into the soul gem it is tethered. Creatures within their gems and in a caster's possession will recover as the gem absorbs souls, meaning they can potentially redeploy summons multiple times throughout a battle. Each creature gains a special additional effect if they are Empowered Summoned.

[In short, flavor for soul gem-style summoning with holographic rare gems that totally isn't a bastard combo of yugioh and pokemon. Since it's conjuring but different I figure it won't make things more difficult than boring normal conjuration flavor, especially as we have all this (I gesture everywhere) soul gem experience.]

Rain snakes
With STACS in hand, an obvious use for it was to summon facsimilies the origins of would be too bothersome to recruit outright, the first use of which is the Rain snake, a fascinating and terrifying predator it is a fairly small snake with small wings along it's body, powerful muscles and acidic venom, the hunting method of this creature is to use it's muscles to bounce into large height and glide above their prey, from that position they move their wings and muscles to allow them to drop at high speed on their target while aiming themselves better by their wings, near contact they spit their venom to soften the area of their impact and from there they bite into their prey. The Rain snakes use this tactic to attack vulnerable members of herd animals, which usually are located protected in the middle. Our plan is to utilize our facsimilies in similar ways, attacking valuable targets which are harder to hit from the front.

When empowered, Rain snakes gain retractable spikes along their belly which they use when attacking, allowing them to increase the damage they do to their prey on the first strike and make them harder to remove.
