Perhaps I should mention that the adventurer in question hailed from Girlishquests.  And that he died fighting those wolves.

Well, it would be even more so if it actually related to the origin of that chunk.  As it stands, he just grabbed a previously removed chunk that was already in the wolf's mouth and then let go of it.
